“Authentic Amsterdam house at Prinzengracht”
Even if we could stay for only two nights we really enjoyed the nice and authentic Amsterdam house with a wonderful view over the Prinzengracht with all the trees in light spring green. The house was well equipped and the weather even allowed for an evening on the roof terrace.
“Conveniently situated, accommodation undergoing maintenance, rather basic.”
Guide book correctly states not for clients with limited mobility. Very steep staircase. Bedrooms OK, bathroom very good but kitchen dinner very basic. BEWARE - cyclists very inconsiderate. I was knocked over by one while on a pedestrian crossing with lights in my favour. Cyclists shot through red lights - arrogant and dangerous. I found difficulty in getting medical attentions but flat owner kindly make appointment for me with his GP
Owner's reply: The guest stayed with us 8-12 february 2016 and this review was made in november. The kitchen was totally renewed in december 2015 so prior to guest stay. There was no ongoing maintenance in feb 2016. We remember helping the guests with a lost key ( that we did not charge for) and with finding medical attention. Bikers in Amsterdam centre can be a tourist hazard, that we can obviously not control
“Fantastic 2 Bedroom Aparment, Perfectly Located in Amsterdam's Jordaan District”
Had a great stay at this 2 bedroom apartment located within the beautiful Jordaan District of Amsterdam. The apartment is very smart, with views looking at over the canals and towards the Ann Frank Museum. The kitchen was very useful for cooking meals and the roof terrace was perfect to relax after a days sightseeing. Highly recommend this accommodation!
“Couldn't have asked for more”
This property was in an amazing location. The cleaner was lovely and the owner was very welcoming. This property is definitely a home away from home. Two nights was not long enough and I hope to come back and stay for a week next time.
Myself and 3 friends stayed recently for a weekend for a hen do. The apartment itself is in an amazing location- extremely central to the Dam Square, Ann Frank Museum, the red light district and many canal rides/ restaurants etc. We could easily walk everywhere we needed to go! It was also very clean with lovely spacious rooms, and we also loved the terrace upstairs where we spent a lot of time. The one thing I would mention is that the apartment is on the top floor, with the middle and bottom floor being occupied by the owners and the kitchen etc being shared. Whilst this was not a problem for us as anyone else we met staying there was lovely, this was not mentioned before staying and some people might not be too happy about it. Overall, a fab stay and would definitely recommend the apartment!
Owner's reply: The apartment description clearly mentions that the kitchen and the terrace at the top floor are a shared space. For clarity: we have another kitchen at the ground floor , but we can be present in the kitchen and terrace area as well
