Argyle Cottage is situated in the historic conservation area of Ambleside giving you the opportunity to enjoy the quieter side of Lakeland village life, without straying too far from Ambleside's excellent shops, restaurants, pubs and historic attractions. Slightly elevated from the village centre, the views are enhanced taking in Ambleside's dramatic backdrop of mountains and fells.On arrival you'll fall in love with the 'chocolate box' exterior of Argyle Cottage, sitting pretty in this very attractive historic area of the village. Step inside and find a stylish and somewhat contemporary interior. Exposed beams, woodburning stove and cottage windows are tastefully embellished with rich fabrics, contemporary furnishings and truly stunning bathrooms. A perfect balance for couples, family or friends; a traditional property with a contemporary finish, and a peaceful location that's also incredibly convenient. 1 parking permit provided for the nearby car park (spaces are sometimes available directly outside). Traditional entrance porch with views to Loughrigg Fell, bright entrance hall. Dual aspect living space under exposed beams, contemporary lighting and with woodburning stove, leather furnishings and dining area. Large LCD TV/DVD. CD player with iPod dock. Light and bright kitchen with window seat, slate floor and the luxury of a dishwasher. Very large luxury bathroom on this floor. Upstairs to the 3 sophisticated king-size bedrooms; each with window seat and fabulous fell views. One of these can be used as a twin - please specify on booking. 2nd stunning house bathroom!There are a selection of DVDs and games for all the family to enjoy.TVs with integrated DVDs in each bedroom. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Argyle (the owner) a message.

If Argyle (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
