Description

Dog friendly, quirky, cottage offers the best of ALL worlds. Central Ambleside location where you can find a vast selection of traditional bars, wine bars, eclectic mix of shops, restaurants, jazz bar. There is also three cinema screens showing all the latest movies as well as shows screened direct from the west end. Two of the cinemas have attached vegetarian restaurant and offer reasonable meal deals.

No 2 The Old Coach House is quietly tucked into the hillside which offers unique privacy for a town centre location and is a tranquil place to chill after a day's fell- walking , water-sports or exploring the amazing lake district tourist attractions.

This stone built cottage has been lovingly renovated with the focus on providing fresh, modern and luxurious self catering accommodation. It is a home from home and you should find everything in the kitchen you have at home. All linen and towels provided. One allocated car parking space.

No 2 The Old Coach House comprises of;

Modern fully tiled bathroom with electric shower over bath,

Utility cupboard housing washer/dryer,

Open plan lounge/kitchen with wall mounted flat screen TV including BT Sports package, built in bench provides extra seating. Dining table for four people.

Modern kitchen with full-size fridge/freezer, gas hob, cooker, microwave, dishwasher and all the essentials for the perfect self-catering holiday,

Amazing mezzanine master bedroom with lounge area with views of the fells, original beams. Bed can be set up as king size or twin. Velux window with solar powered remote control black out blind.

Bedroom two, although smaller, makes up for this in character. Small double bed (4ft wide). Lots of natural light with original beams. Views over the fells. Velux window with solar powered remote control black out blinds.

Welcome pack including wine on arrival, fresh bread, milk, juice, tea, coffee, sugar, oil, washing powder, dishwasher tablets, toiletries etc.

Local walks from the doorstep include Wansfell, Loughrigg, Sweden Bridges and for the less energetic but still ambitious is the Stockgyll Waterfalls which still has the original Victorian Turnstile!! Easy travelling to the higher peaks of Scarfell Pike and Helvellyn, Langdale Pikes etc..

Good local bus service in all directions but plenty of walks on the doorstep. Electric bus to lake for those with less mobility.

“Amazing place 5*”

This is one of the prettiest places ever. The photos don’t do it enough justice. It’s comfy, quirky, so well appointed, cosy, brilliantly positioned and just downright gorgeous. Welcome pack of milk, juice, tea, coffee, sugar, bread, wine and most gratefully received dog treats was lovely. I will def rebook. Thanks Margaret for sharing your wee piece of Ambleside heaven.
