Welcome to 'The Old Coach House ' situated in a convenient and central location in Ambleside village.A contemporary and stylish 4 STAR GOLD Visit Britain accredited accommodation with all the ' mod cons ' you will need for a very comfortable stay.In January 2014 we finished a complete and careful renovation and are now delighted to be able to offer this quite special village centre property.Ambleside village itself is on your doorstep and there is no need to use your car to take advantage of all it has to offer. An abundance of walks can be taken straight from the door.Cruises and watersports on Lake Windermere are only a 10 minute walk away, as well as all the amenities of the village itself with shopping, restaurants, pubs and a cinema/jazz bar right on your doorstep. Spacious one level cottage with underfloor heating, wifi, mood lighting, full kitchen facilities (including washer/dryer, fridge freezer,dishwasher) walk in shower room, flat screen tv/dvd lounge and beds, ipod dock, king size bed, driveway parking, all fuel costs included! Changeover day Saturday, short breaks by request only.

A wonderful stay in this lovely cottage... really comfortable, a home from home with an extra touch of luxury! Owner very helpful, great communication.

“You will not be disappointed!”
We have just arrived home after a few days in the lakes , we are a family of four and this cottage was great, perfect location in the centre of Ambleside. it has everything you could need and the welcome gift was a lovely touch, great to have TVs in both bedrooms. It is a clean, very modern cosy cottage and the owners are very accommodating and great communication from them. Yes there is road noise in the main bedroom but nothing a pair of earplugs won’t fix! We would highly recommend this cottage and you will not be dissapointed!

“Clean, comfortable and beautiful cottage.”
Perfectly located within easy reach of beautiful walks and amenities! The decor of the cottage was stunning and the kitchen was carefully stocked with all the crockery and utensils you'll need. We'll definitely book it if we visit Ambleside again.

“Our second visit to a fabulous place!”
Everything you need for a perfect holiday is provided at the Coach House. A lovely welcoming note from the owners along with a bottle of wine and fresh bread from the local bakery. Suitable for all ages. So many amenities on your doorstep: pubs, cafe's, climbing wall, walks, open top bus tour, boating, shops, restaurants etc This was our second stay and I am sure we will be back. Our children aged 12 & 15 love the area and have already asked to return!
