A maisonette flat in the heart of the little seaside town of Amble, with views to the marina and the sea beyond. The harbour is just a few minutes walk away.

Amble itself is a bustling little town with cafes, interesting shops, some very good restaurants, and the best fish and chips in the country.

There's so much to do nearby - the market towns of Alnwick and Morpeth, beautiful long sandy beaches at Druridge and Cresswell bays, delightful villages such as Warkworth and Craster. The Northumberland countryside is green and pastoral and there are many historic places to visit. Bamburgh Castle is just up the coast as is Chillingham, which has a herd of aurochs, cattle going back to prehistoric times.

Inside, the flat is like a Tardis, spacious and airy. The living room has two two-seater red leather sofas with electric reclining mechanism. There's also a dining table with four chairs and a television with built-in DVD.

There's a spacious bathroom with bath and walk-in shower and a small galley kitchen which includes that holiday necessity, a microwave, as well as a full complement of cooking utensils and crockery. Electric oven with gas hob, washing machine, fridge-freezer.

The bedrooms are very distinctive. The upstairs room is in the loft space and is huge. It's romantically decorated, with Chinese hand-painted furniture, luxurious bedding, a zebra-print chaise longue and a writing table and chair at the Velux window with views to the marina,.

The downstairs room is green and peaceful with a forest theme. It has light oak furniture and imported American curtains with forest animals.

Both bedrooms have double beds and views to the marina, the river Coquet and the sea beyond.
