You can camp all year round in our traditional barn, with cosy wood burning stove.
Our quaint remote Camping Barn, just outside the village of Alstonefield, stands at the foot of Narrowdale hill and enjoys stunning views. It is reached by an old bridle path which has been upgraded to allow access where car parking spaces are provided.
Having no electric and no distractions it is the perfect place to switch off from the hassles of a hectic life. Its like camping but you don't get wet! It provides a basic budget holiday for 1 to 12 persons.
The superb location and dale walks leading from the door suits campers, walkers, climbers (the Roaches and Ramshaw Rocks are nearby), cyclists (Manifold cycle trail is just down the road), scouts, Duke of Edinburgh and school groups etc as well as couples and families. Good as a teambuilding venue and for children's parties and sleepovers (large empty upstairs room).
Close to Wetton, Hulme End and Alstonefield, all within walking distance and having family pubs which do good food.
The ground floor comprises
Entrance lobby with coat hooks and plenty of room for storing boots, rucksacks, etc.
A Washroom (with flush toilet and hand wash basin, sorry no bath or shower) Being located in the barn the toilet facilities are more convenient than those often found when camping, in the respect that you do not have to venture outside or go to a different building to use the wc.
