From the owner

This comfortable barn is located in the beautiful countryside of The Peak District National Park, on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Alstonefield. We are surrounded by fields and although a magnet for walkers the village is very quiet and peaceful. We have beautiful night sky’s and often the only sound is birdsong .

The accommodation is on the first floor with stone steps up to the front door. It has a private garden , with a stunning countryside view dominated by Wetton Hill. There is parking for 2 cars outside the front door. There are 2 bedrooms , a double and a twin , a shower room and separate toilet. Linen and towels are provided. The kitchen/ dining room has a cooker, fridge and microwave and everything you might need for your stay. The freezer and washing machine are kept in a separate barn, where you can also hang wet clothes and leave muddy boots . The cosy lounge has a log fire for those chilly evenings with a complementary basket of logs provided. There is a TV and DVD player and a variety of books and we have Wi Fi .The Barn has central heating throughout.

Locally there is a fine dining restaurant in Alstonefield, a traditional pub 2 minutes walk from us and a pub in Wetton . A local company will also deliver very nice pre-prepared meals to the accommodation. Hartington is the nearest village and has a grocery store, post office, cheese shop, gift shops , coffee shops and pubs. Supermarkets are in Ashbourne or Buxton .
