The lovely, large swimming pool with its spacious terrace sits picture-perfect at the front of the accommodation with great views of the sea and mountains and comes complete with BBQ area.Pegasus' excellent location and design means that the apartment has idyllic sea views and every guest can enjoy the spectacular evening sunsets. Pegasus Apartments are owned by Stelios and Maria, a young and very hospitable Cretan couple who will do everything possible to ensure you have a fabulous holiday.

The kitchen is very well equipped, with full cooker/oven and large fridge/freezer. There is a washing machine(fitted) also and ironing board/iron. There are three air-conditioning units in the apartment, one in each bedroom and one in the dining/seating room. Excellent quality furniture, indoors and outdoors complement this fabulous apartment. Swimming pool and all exterior areas are finished with non-slippery tiles and lovely small garden areas complemented by a stone-built BBQ.

Almyrida

The Apokoronas region to the east of Chania is a very fertile area with several sandy beaches at Almirida, Kalives and Georgioupolis. Apokoronas is one of the most picturesque areas of the province of Chania with many attractive and authentic villages.Kalives: A wonderful seaside village, retaining the pace of the local lifestyle. The White Mountains dominate the area behind it and provide a dramatic backdrop that contrasts the sandy beaches. There are two beaches, one near our apartments very long and sandy with a beach-taverna, that rarely gets crowded: the other one, 1 km away, is at the edge of the central village and is hosting the small harbor. Here, another great selection of tavernas by the seafront, offer excellent meals. Kalives without being spoiled by tourism provides all the necessary amenities for couples and families. The local square, shaded by a huge plane tree, has the traditional Kafeneion where tourists get-together with locals and watch the world go by! Lovely colorful churches, several shops and supermarkets blend-in perfectly with the tourist accommodation that includes from small cottages, to apartment complexes, hotels and luxury villas.There are wonderful walks in this lush area, including the Diktamos Gorge and several other countryside walks through orange and lemon groves by the sides of rivers Xidas and Koiliaris. Extending several kilometers inland it is rich in olive and citrus groves, pasture lands and tiny hamlets rarely visited by tourists. In the spring-time, the fields, groves and tracks are filled in endless varieties of flora including many species which are endemic to Crete. Birdwatchers will find a large number of local as well as migratory birds to see, ranging from tiny warblers to large buzzards, eagles and hawks. Kournas freshwater-lake, is nearby and offers a nature’s reserve rich in wild flowers, herbs and birds. Our properties are selected to be either on the beach or slightly inland, a little bit removed from the madding crowd, in the most peaceful locations but with beaches and facilities close at hand. There is frequent bus service and taxi service is also available. The large bay that makes up the seaside resorts of Almirida and Kalives has many separate, safe, sandy beaches, usually with full facilities. Almirida, 4 kilometers from Kalives, once a fishing village is now a thriving seaside resort with a windsurfing school and seaside tavernas and bars lining the sea front. There are a couple of mini-markets, a bakery, patisserie, a wine shops and an ATM facility. Mountain bikes can be hired and there is also a small taxi rank. The Almirida Beach Hotel and the Almirida Residence Hotel are open to non residents and have internet facilities as well as a 10 pin bowling lane and a lovely sun terrace complemented with an infinity pool. There is a limited bus service to Kalives and Chania. At the entrance to Almirida archaeologists discovered an ancient Mosaic which belongs to the 5th century Church. The ancient Castle of Aptera and the Roman cisterns are 15 minutes drive away. From here in addition to the interesting historical and archaeological finds, the visitor can enjoy breathtaking views to the White Mountains, Drapanos Peninsula and the entrance to Souda Bay.
