However, you will have exclusive use of the villa, grounds and swimming pool. The villa comprises two double bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. a kitchen and sitting/dining room complete the accommodation. Car parking is not a problem. The upper floor contains the owners personal possessions and will be closed and unoccupied. The secluded gardens and terraces are surrounded by mature trees, however, the true impact of the location can best be appreciated from the large terrace and infinity pool, on some days you can be and see dolphins in the sea. To chill your drinks while sitting around the pool, there is a refrigerator at the poolside with ice. There are numerous tables and chairs around the villa and also sun beds
The property is situated about 200 meters above a lovely water park, very popular with children, (open from half June to the end of August) which is set in a park of trees and grass. Beaches are easily reached from the property.
The village is traditional Andalucian, overlooked by its Moorish castle. There are Roman remains in the Majuela Park, itself a Botanical Garden and Aviary. There is also underground aquarium and a museum.
Mountain biking is available in the hills behind Almunecar, while on the beach pedalos, water skiing, jet skiing and kite surfing are available

The Andalucia region
Almunecar is the principle town on the Costa Tropical. This relatively unknown stretch of Spain's southern coastline belongs to the Granada Province of Andalucia. It lies between the more populous Costa Del Sol to the West and Almeria to the East. The Costa Tropical has a special geography and climate unlike any other coastline in southern Spain. Rugged hills thrust up steeply from valley floors or plunge into the sea.
Granada with its World Heritage Alhambra Palace lies about an hour's drive away, Cordoba and Sevilla with their historic monuments about three hours drive.
Almunecar and its handsome Moorish castle sit on a hill between two rivers. Beaches, restaurants, watersport activities, together with sports as diverse as paragliding and horse riding are to be found within easy reach. Cultural activities, including Jazz festivals and art exhibitions, are staged at various times of the year.
The town has medieval steep winding streets that lead to the Plaza de Constitución, where the Town Hall stands, and onto the highest old quarter called Barrio San Miguel where the castle is situated. Most of this area is pedestrianised and residential. Geranium-filled balconies and small sunny plazas line the labryinth of narrow passageways.
There is a good transport system within the town and also to the major towns in the area.
