The apartment is situated in a gated and private apartment complex directly by the sea, which contains a swimming pool, beautifully landscaped tropical gardens, a BBQ area and a padel court (small tennis court).

The apartment itself is 70sqm, it has an ample 15 sqm covered terrace facing south-west with undisrupted 135 degrees views of the beach, sea and landscape beyond. High specification finishes including beautiful marble floors throughout. It is fully furnished and decorated with a contemporary eye. The terrace has outdoor dining and deckchairs.

The apartment is located on the corner of the building, on the third floor and has a lift.

It has private direct access to the beach through a newly planted park and the beach is less than a five minute walk away.

Should you decide to rent a car during your stay the apartment comes with private and secure parking.

Although we want to be as flexible as possible with our check-ins, if you are due to arrive at the apartment after 9pm, please contact me before booking. Keep in mind that it takes around a 1 hour 15 minute drive to get to the apartment from Malaga airport and about an hour from Granada airport.

The Andalucia region

The Galera beach is a tranquil cove ideal for swimming. Paths connect the cove to other beaches. A charming thatched chill out bar and restaurant lies on the edge of the beach.

The Costa Tropical is mild in the winter (delicious Mangos, Chirimoyas and Avocados grow here) and there are plenty (320) of sunny days throughout the year.

The magical city of Granada with its spectacular Moorish castle the Alhambra is only 45 minutes drive away, with high quality skiing in the Sierra Nevada from December to April.

Almunecar

The nearest town is Almunecar, its white washed centre with its cobbled pedestrianised streets maintains an authentically Andalusian character while welcoming international visitors. The winding passages of the old quarter are well worth exploring. The town also has several markets, some very good restaurants, tapas bars, beachside cafes, an excellent nightlife, a water park, a Phoenician castle, bird and botanical gardens, plenty of supermarkets, boutiques, banks and beaches.

Malaga, the Alpujarra, Salobrena, Nerja, Marina del Este, Rio Verde trecking and countless beaches and coves are just a few of the many day excursions one can take advantage of in this area (more information on request).
Seville and Cordoba, other great destinations can be reached within three hours drive.

Plenty of sporting opportunities are on offer nearby such as skiing, golf, tennis, horseback riding, paragliding,fishing, watersports and scuba diving.

For those that prefer a more relaxing holiday there are Arab baths in Granada as well as several day spas within closeby hotels. Or the apartment’s terrace with the constant sound and view of the sea is enough not to want to leave it.

“Unforgettable terrace over the blue Mediterranean”

We have stayed at Torre Galera a couple of times now, once last summer and recently over Easter, and we've always had an amazing time. The location is perfect - removed from the hustle and bustle of Almuñecar town centre and right on the sea, on this beautiful small cove just next to the main beaches. The development is on a slope mostly occupied with carefully tended gardens, and the apartment, on a third floor, offers stunning, unobstructed views of the Mediterranean and the nearby coast. The core of the house, any time of year, has to be the terrace: very generously sized, it easily accommodates a whole family, be it for a meal, for sitting out reading, or for doing all that at the same time! It is almost a shame to leave the terrace and have your meals anywhere else - but we also used the beach bar / restaurant right there on our footstep, and it was great. I wasn't sure if the family would be comfortable with not having air-conditioning in the apartment, but it all turned out to be perfectly fine: the generous terrace provides for plenty of shadow, and being a corner flat it allows for cross-ventilation (having opposite windows open) and a cool breeze to always refresh the interior. Really enjoyed our stay, we look forward to going back!

We’ve stayed at the apartment twice and we’ve had a lovely time on both occasions. The apartment is lovely on the inside, but we absolutely loved the outside space. There’s a wonderful, big terrace where you can enjoy the sunshine and where you have views on the beautiful garden and the sea. We’ve also enjoyed the communal garden very much, as well as the swimming pool. There’s also lots of nice places to see and visit around Almuñecar, that’s if you travel by car. We would definitely go back again!
