SHORT BREAKS - For availability and details of short breaks please contact us.

Aden Barn is an immaculate conversion which boasts a full length galleried feature window to the front of the property. The cottage has a light and airy feel combined with light wood flooring and elegant Swedish style decoration. Aden Barn is fully centrally-heated with all the mod cons needed to make an enjoyable holiday.

Allonby is a good resort for all the family offering beaches, a local swimming pool and beautiful vistas over the Solway Firth towards the coast of Dumfries and Galloway, while still being close enough to access the Western Lake District easily. The village has many historic Georgian buildings and is unique in still retaining many cobbled streets, and has the well renown homemade ice-cream shop, Twentyman's.

For a nice evening out with a meal we would recommend the Golf Hotel in Silloth just a short drive up the coast,

“Just what we needed”

Reviewed 23 Mar 2013

When we arrived at the town, we picked the keys up from TwentyMens, which stayed open after hours just for us, which we much appreciated. Aden Barn Cottage was modern but had a really warm and relaxing atmosphere. the surrounding area was lovely and very close to the beach. Although it was very cold at the time of year we went we still ventured out and the fire was lovely to come back to. We visited the ship inn twice during our stay, the owners were lovely and the very welcoming, on the Friday night they had the fire on and it was such a lovely atmosphere. We will be going back again!

“An absolute gem of a place.”

A contemporary appartment, with all mod cons. Bottle of wine on arrival-nice touch. So cosy, plenty of room, lots of hot water, lovely and warm. Superb atmosphere and energy in the place.Fantastic value. Lovely location near the beach, such friendly people in the village. Cumbria is in general a very special place and our stay in Aden Barn reflected that too. Thank you.
