Description

Sandhills is a lovely, secluded villa with a private pool. It has 3 spacious bedrooms (2 double, one with en-suite bathroom, and one twin), an ample living room and well equipped kitchen. It can comfortably sleep 6 with cots available for infants.

Being only 10 years old, Sandhills is a modern, open plan, single storey villa, with doors opening directly onto the terrace area from the back bedrooms and kitchen allowing easy flow from the outside terrace and pool area to the inside. It equipped with TV, DVD player, satellite channels and a selection of DVDs, books and games, as well as a stereo with ipod dock. The kitchen includes everything you will need for your holiday from coffee machine, blender, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, all cooking equipment and serving dishes and utensils. Washing machine is available in the garage.

Sandhills is perfectly located (within the Costa Vicentina National Park), for both an active holiday or a quiet retreat. Situated on the edge of the Vale de Telha urbanisation, it is close to local shops, and Monte Clerigo village and beach is just 2km away. What's more it is just a short drive from many other amazing local beaches, amenities, shops and restaurants. The area is an incredible location for surfing, body boarding, cycling, rock climbing, wake boarding, kite surfing or horse riding. Or you can simply discover the un-spoilt splendour of this area by walking along the Rota Vicentina, which is a long distance path (350km in total) along the SW coast of Portugal, part of which is the Fishermen's Trail which passes infront of the house.

Aljezur is a small town just 10 minute drive away and has a large supermarket with fresh meat/fish counter, municipal market with fresh fish and vegetables and many restaurants, cafes and surf and gift shops.

Directions
Take N120 north of Lagos. As you approach Aljezur, turn left towards Monte Clerigo and Arrifana. At T junction, turn right and continue for 7km to Monte Clerigo. Pass through the village and take the beach road up out of the village. Sandhills is 2km from the beach in the right hand side.

“Lovely villa in a beautiful part of portugal”

The villa is great. Lovely open plan lounge and kitchen, good sized ensuite master bedroom and nicely equipped throughout. Outside the pool is really nice and completely private, a great place to relax. It is about a twenty minute quiet walk to the beach and a few restaurants at monte clerigo and a similar distance to a couple of bars and restaurants at vale de Telha. A perfect base is you like walking and within a short drive of some fantastic beaches both north and south of Aljezur. The mini supermarket in cake de telha is well stocked and the takeaway pizza bar a couple of minutes further away is excellent. For a restaurant with a fantastic location try Gabrielle 2 - on the road from Aljezur toward monte clerigo turn right just before the road descends into monte clerigo, (there is a sign to the right to the restaurant), after a mile or so you get there. It is on the cliff overlooking the beach opposite at Amoreira and the food was excellent. A bit further afield the beaches at odeceixe to the north and carrapateria to the south are definitely worth a visit with superb walking at the latter. We had only booked the villa for four nights with the rest of our holiday on the south coast of the algarve but really loved the villa and the area and would have happily stayed there for the full holiday. Being on the west coast Temperatures were in the mid twenties with a fresh breeze which was ideal. Overall a great place to relax.

How do damage deposits work?
