Very Good

“Great space in a great location”

Reviewed 18 Oct 2017

Pebble Cottage is fantastically situated on the High Street in Aldeburgh, close to all the shops, pubs and bars and handy for the beach and the best fish and chip shop for miles. The living space is well thought out, with good entertainment systems and plenty of seating for all. There are games for the rainy days and a sizeable outdoor space with tables and chairs for alfresco dining. With three double bedrooms, all with comfortable beds, good quality bed linen and ample storage and hanging space the cottage will easily sleep 6 (plus a baby in our case). Three bathrooms (one ensuite and one downstairs) mean that there are no queues and the washing machine is an added benefit when travelling with small children. The spacious kitchen is one of best equipped I have ever seen in a holiday rental, with a large cooker, plenty of crockery, pots, pans and electrical appliances, plus a capacious fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. The table easily sits 8 and is perfect for families or groups of friends visiting this beautiful area. And the icing on the cake is the parking space out front — fantastic for Aldeburgh which has insane parking restrictions just about everywhere! We had a great time. Thanks Heidi.

“Great Holiday Cottage”

Pebble Cottage is very cosy and conveniently located on the high street between the Lighthouse restaurant and the local cinema. My party consisted of me, my wife and my son and daughter ( both young adults) and we stayed for a midweek break of four nights. There was plenty to do in the area and we would recommend Sutton Hoo, The Red House, Orford Castle and a walk up the beach to Thorpeness. The food in The Lighthouse is excellent and the local cinema is worth a visit ( as was the bookshop across the road). There were three pubs in easy walking distance, and it was so nice to be able to walk from the house and leave the car behind ( and of course to have our own parking space). The cottage itself was clean and well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. There was a good selection of games and DVDs in the cottage if the weather is bad! We would love to visit again and to see the places that we did not have time for - and we would choose Pebble Cottage again!

“Charming, comfortable and very convenient cottage”

Reviewed 12 Sep 2017

I recently stayed here with my elderly parents and brother. We loved the convenience of the cottage, with so much at hand in very easy walking distance of the cottage, including an excellent restaurant (The Lighthouse) where we had a superb last night meal. Being able to park so easily right by the front door was also great for us! The large, well-equipped kitchen made preparing meals very easy. The living room and bedrooms were all comfortable and I liked the way the cottage was so clean with lovely quality sheets, towels etc without feeling so 'smart' that it you couldn't relax. Some lovely pictures throughout the house helped create a good atmosphere without adding any clutter! Heidi was very helpful throughout the booking process, even measuring the stairs before I booked to check their suitability for my parents. Highly recommended for any Aldeburgh lovers!

“Perfect for all the family”

“Lovely bright & airy and very comfortable. Welcome wine for me and biscuits for the children was a lovely touch. Fully equipped kitchen. Great location for the beach, shops and restaurants and off road parking is a real plus. Thank you Heidi for letting us rent your lovely home!

“Wonderfully positioned, well equipped cottage”

Pebble cottage is in a fantastic location with pubs, restaurants, shops, beach and some lovely walks right on the door step. The cottage is well equipped with everything you could possibly need and provided all home comforts including lovely comfortable beds! Would highly recommend taking the beach walk into Thorpeness and hiring out a rowing boat. Great for kids of all ages. We took 3 teenagers who all loved it. Pebble cottage fulfilled all our criteria for a long weekend stay and wish we could have stayed longer!

“Excellent holiday cottage”

Reviewed 25 Jul 2017

Holidayed here in July with my wife, 20 year old daughter and mother in law in her 80s and it suited us all. 100 yds from the High Street shops and 200 from the sea, the location was excellent. A bottle of wine on the table welcomed us when we arrived. The rooms were all clean, decor bright, linen crisp and showers always hot, so they welcomed us too. Three bath/shower rooms served us well. The large kitchen/diner gave us space to move around with others seated at the table. The patio, parking space and WiFi were very useful bonuses. Heidi was efficient and pleasant to deal with.

“Wonderful holiday home”

The cottage was in a perfect location with an essential car park spot! Located on the end of the main street - all restaurants, pubs and shops were walking distance with a local supermarket a few doors along too. One street away from the beautiful sea front which has a well trodden coastal path to Thorpeness which made for a great weekend wander. The cottage is well maintained, clean and comfortable with a lovely outdoor seating area at the rear. Heidi was a pleasure to deal with and very accommodating. We relaxed within minutes of our arrival and will be booking a return trip asap.

“Perfect New Years”

Another wonderful stay at Pebble Cottage in Aldeburgh. The location is perfect, just a brief two minute walk to catch the fireworks as we welcomed in 2017. Great family friendly place and would recommend to anyone. We'll be back very soon x

“Lovely, clean, cosy cottage ideally located on the main street.”

Reviewed 11 Oct 2016

We stayed here with our two toddlers and found the house ideal as it processes a cot, high chair and stair gates. There is also a garden equipped for BBQs. The cottage is a couple of streets back from the sea front and very close to all the shops and restaurants of Aldeburgh, however, it is in no way noisy. There is also off street parking. The cottage is scrupulously clean and well equipped and we enjoyed using the wood burner. As for Aldeburgh itself, it is a wonderful little town, plenty to do nearby and the most wonderful shingle beach. A great location.

“Lovely cosy cottage, spacious and clean, best equipped I've stayed in!”

Stayed at Pebble cottage for a short Christmas break, lovely and spacious but cosy at the same time! Immaculately clean and so well equipped Heidi has thought of everything. The cottage is right on the high street so all the shops and restaurants are walkable as is the beach which my little dog Cookie appreciated. Thoughtful touches such as chocolate bears on the bed were loved by my girls as was the Prosecco by me!!! Have already highly recommended to friends and will definately be back.
