“A modern, comfortable apartment with beautiful and peaceful surroundings”
I found the apartment easy to book and I received replies from the owner within two days. All the information required was in a handy handbook that could be printed off. The property was perfect for what my friends and I wanted; a place to relax and catch up with each other with a nearby pool and beach and a few restaurants if we did want to treat ourselves to dinner out. However, I would mention that if people have plans to go on day trips daily then a car would be advisable as there are no bus services in Alcadesia and taxis can add up. However, there is a mini mart, pharmacist and a handful of small restaurants/beach cafes. The property itself was well equipped and I likes the fact that the kitchen had so many gadgets and there was a homely feel throughout. One criticism would be that we were only issued with one key and it is easy to lock yourself out!! Overall I would thoroughly recommend this place though.
“A very relaxing and comfortable stay”
Well appointed apartment, comfortable and very clean. Delightful views of the beach and Gibraltar. A car is essential for touring and supermarket shopping, which is just a few miles away. The beach is a short downhill walk away, however there is a number of lovely pools to use on the complex for the less adventurous. We had such a great time we are sure to return again in the near future.
“Beautiful Apartment, Great Family Holiday in Spain”
We had a lovely holiday in this apartment with my 3 year old son and 7 month old baby and my mother. I was a little nervous booking an apartment over the internet as I had never done this before but booking was easy and Martin and Faith called me personally and they have been extremely helpful. I chose the apartment because it was close to Gibraltar airport and we flew from Gatwick. Gibraltar was probably 15 min drive away. You need a car here. We hired our car from NIZA cars through Arguscarhire and it was on the Spanish side of the border. So when you get to the airport you come out and walk over the border and just the other side is an outside shopping centre maybe 300m from the aiport? It’s much easier to hire a car on the Spanish side as there is an immigration queue waiting to get in and out of Gibraltar (UK territory). When we got there a lady met us at the apartment and let us in and showed us round. The apartment is on the ground floor so easy to get in and out of with bags, buggies etc. It was really helpful to have a washing machine and dishwasher. There was also Astra Freeview which meant that we had cbeebies and lots of British channels to watch. There were also a number of dvds there. Everything was very clean and the furnishings were very nice and modern. The beds were comfortable and bedding was fine. There was plenty of hot water and the showers were great. Stunning views from the main bedroom and lounge out to the rock of Gibraltar. We slept in the double bedroom with our baby in our bed. My mother slept in the twin bedroom with our toddler and we pushed the beds together to stop him rolling out onto the floor. As we didn’t use a cot, I put my baby in the car seat to sleep during the evenings in the lounge with us as I didn’t want to leave him unsupervised in the bedroom. Underground parking was good for keeping the car cool and secure. Lift access up to the apartments. The complex is very secure, there are electric metal blinds which can keep the apartment cool and secure during the day when you are out. We used local supermarket Mercadona (fairly cheap bit better than Aldi) - recommended to us by the lady who let us into the apartment. Head along the A7 in the direction of Malaga and come off at Sotogrande and look for Centro Commercial. Daytrips - We didn’t go down to the beach as we went out every day exploring the local area. We went to Selwo adventure park http://www.selwo.es/ Puerto Banus, Gibraltar - took cable car ride to the top and saw the monkeys, also went to Puerto de la Duquesa which had a nice beach and marina, Casares was a nice white washed hilltop town with a little market on Friday morning and made a pleasant trip. One tip: to reach the correct entrance to Alcaidesa, take exit 124 from A7 and then follow signs to La Casita to enter the right entrance for directions as per picture of Parque Bomberos. Overall great apartment, lots to do, great facilities. Would recommend.
“Great apartment, great views, great holiday”
The apartment was excellent; it directly overlooks one of the four swimming pools on the urbanization and has stunning views over the sea to Gibraltear (and Africa on a clear day). The apartment was spotlessly clean (even my wife, a hard woman to impress, gave it the thumbs up!) and the owners provided plenty of towels and linens. Lots to do in the area; golf, waterparks, the beach, fantastic restaurants, etc. but you will definitely need a car. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends.
Back home yesterday after a wonderful stay at your apartment, it was home from home to us, and we felt really comfortable staying there. Such a beautiful place, and you have very nice neighbours. We have recommended your apartment to friends of ours, so hopefully they'll book next year!
“A great holiday in a beautiful apartment”
We highly recommend this apartment. It was very clean and beautifully presented. The view of Gibralter from the balcony was stunning. Good underground car park and a lovely pool right in front. We know the area well so we had no difficulty getting around but you definitely need a car to make the most of what's on offer. The booking process was courteous and efficient. We enjoyed our holiday and would use this apartment again.
