Description

Dos Olivos (The Two Olive Trees) is a luxury home in Andalucian style, situated in the urbanization of Alcaidesa. The house is only about 10 minutes walk from the beautiful beach but is high enough to command breathtaking panoramic views from the striking Rock of Gibraltar and mountains of Morocco along the coastline as far as Estepona.

The Garden

A vast terracotta terrace leads onto an extensive scented Mediterranean garden with everything from lemon, orange, fig and pomegranate trees to Mimosa, Jacaranda, Palms, Cypress and Dama de Noche. The 11 meter floodlit infinity pool is cleaned by salt (not chlorine) and can be heated if desired. The pool has Roman Steps (steps with hand rails into the pool), and there are plenty of sunbeds and a pool-house with 2 shower rooms. The outdoor kitchen with gas barbecue adjoins a large covered eating area. There is also a floodlit tennis court.

The House

The house is entered through a vast double-height galleried hallway and leads onto a large drawing room, dining room for 12 with sofa area, kitchen & utility room as well as the terrace which becomes a conservatory in winter by means of a 'glass curtain'. There are 2 large master bedroom suites and 3 further suites. Each room can be made double or twin. 4 have baths as well as showers and the fifth (on the ground floor) has a large shower which makes the room wheelchair friendly. All have terraces and all have a seaview. There are terracotta floors and beautiful local ceramic tiles throughout. A spiral staircase leads up to the tower which is perfect as a panoramic sanctuary.

There is SKY TV, DVD player, wireless internet and Hifi. The spacious kitchen has a breakfast table for 10 and is fully equipped with 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers, 2 fridges, hob, microwave and 2 sinks with waste disposal. The Amana fridge provides filtered water and ice.

The extensive basement includes another bathroom and a laundry with washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing space. It leads onto a large garage area which also houses a Pool Table and Table Tennis.

In Winter the house enjoys gas central heating throughout as well as an open fireplace in the drawing room.

Egyptian cotton sheets, fluffy white towels and bathrobes are provided as well as towels for the pool. You are requested to bring your own beach towels. Table tennis and Pooltable equipment is provided. You are requested to bring your own Tennis racquets and balls.

The House Manager will be at your disposal at all times should you require assistance. She will greet you and make sure you are comfortable. We provide daily maid service and can usually find you a cook if desired. There is a Gardener and a Pool Technician who visit regularly.

Above all, Dos Olivos is a beautiful home and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere where every detail has been thought of to make your stay comfortable and relaxing.

Booking Notes

A 25% deposit will be required at the time of booking with final payment 6 weeks before your holiday. A further breakage deposit of £2,500 will be required with final payment and will be held until 2 weeks after your holiday.
