The views from both the balconies of the Rio Santo Gorge are spectacular and the quiet and peaceful location provides easy access to all amenities including the beautiful City of Granada, the Sierra Nevada Mountains (with skiing during the winter) and the beautiful Mediterranean Sea at Salobrena (now a quick drive away with the opening of the new motorway)The house benefits from a shared pool and child safe Terraces with stunning mountain views. The Air conditioned (also heated during colder periods) House is fully equipped and with one double and one twin bedroom and sofa bed, the property is ideal for families with plenty to do and see in the surrounding area during the duration of your stay, and with over 320 days of Sunshine is the perfect location to soak up the Sun!

The fully equipped air conditioned property is tiled throughout with terracotta tiles and has quality furnishings. The kitchen is complete with hob, oven. microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge/freezer. The bathroom has a proper sized bath with shower, w.c and bidet. The light and airy bedrooms have seriously comfy beds and a child's cot is available. The large living area has Sky T.V. with all U.K. channels and comfortable sofas. A big advantage of this property is the secure underground parking, so no lengthy walk to car parking. (Most other village properties have no parking and have to walk a considerable distance to your property carrying your suitcases and shopping!).

The outside of the property is well maintained and includes the communal pool and large tiled seating area. An advantage of the property is the underground parking which keeps vehicles cool in the summer! (Very few Spanish properties have adjacent parking - normally a long walk!)

The Andalucia region

The Costa Tropical is the best kept secret of Southern Spain, it is a totally unspoilt part of Andalucia that is becoming a popular holiday location due to its sub-tropical climate, beautiful views and picturesque mountain villages. The cosmopolitan city of Granada with the world famous Alhambra Palace is easily accessible as are the Sierra Nevada mountains and the coast at Salobrena. The Lecrin Valley is a beautiful and picturesque valley of outstanding natural beauty planted with lemon, orange, olive and almond trees. Birds of prey can frequently be seen soaring over precipitous cliffs and deep ravines. It is a beautiful valley that has been little affected by tourism. The villages of the Alpujarras including Lanjaron are also very close by. The area makes for a very memorable holiday.The Sierra Nevada mountains are a short drive away and have the most southerly Ski resort in Europe. With runs to suit all abilities, ski school and numerous lifts and cable cars you can even ski in the morning and then spend the afternoon at the coast!

Albunuelas

Albunuelas is a typical white washed Andalucian village dating back to the 10th and 11th centuries and was on the route of al Idrisi the first Arab geographer and Leon the African who travelled from central Africa to Granada.There are two main supermarkets, two bakers, a bank in the main square, several bars and a pharmacy. The baker and fishmonger deliver by van most mornings (listen for the horns!) It is normal to see working Mules in the village and the village women washing in the fountains in the plazas!. Market day is on a Thursday and festivals can be enjoyed throughout the year. It all adds up to an exceptional place to have a great holiday and enjoy the culture of a traditional Spanish lifestyle - where time has stood still, allowing you to unwind and relax.

“Fantastic property with stunning views.”

Very impressed with this property. Owner was very helpful. Wonderful location in quiet part of Spain. House well fitted out and very comfortable. Suitable for couples and families with young children. If using car park would recommend hiring a small car as car park entrance is tight. Views on the way to the house are magnificent, as is the region. Would recommend Bodegas Senorio de Nevada (which you pass on the way to the house) for red wine. Would recommend Alhambra (but book before you arrive in Spain), the Science park in Granada for children, the Caves of Nerja, the mountain village of Trevelez, and a walk around the the streets near Granada Cathedral sampling the tapas is a must.
