The Andalucia region

A Mediterranean shores of Granada is music and poetry, pure monumental art, ancient culture. In Sierra Nevada is the highest peak of the Iberian Peninsula, is a protected natural area as a good part of the province. Also find cities of impressive architecture that encalman in the Altiplano, white villages scattered valleys and hillsides to die in the cliffs and beaches of the Costa Tropical. The province of Granada, prime tourist destination, allows travelers to enjoy skiing in Sierra Nevada, the hidden venture Alpujarra villages, explore the last frontier of Al-Andalus in the Western Granada or stay in caves that recall the life troglodyte. And of course, the Alhambra is the main attraction of the province, declared World Heritage Site, is the jewel that deserves a quiet visit. Albunuelas is only a half hour drive of the best corners of Granada. Halfway between the city center and the beach. The perfect place from which to make excursions throughout the province.A land of soft, warm summers and winters conducive to the enjoyment of snow sports.

Albunuelas

Albuñuelas is located in the heart Lecrín Valley, also known as the Valley of Hapiness. The Lecrin Valley invites you to explore beautiful white villages with steep, narrow streets, in the midst of a landscape that, as in ancient Phoenicians and Romans captivated. It is just 30 km from Granada and the Alhambra and 40 from the beaches of the Costa Tropical.Just 4 km from the house there Béznar lake where you can practice water sports and picnics.Albuñuelas is one of eight municipalities that make up the region of Valle Lecrin. This town, like the rest of the region, live mainly on agriculture, especially the cultivation of olive, orange and almond. This economic activity has preserved the natural environment has led to extremely carefully and particularly scenic beauty that characterizes the entire area. Albuñuelas rests on an aquifer that gives the town a great luxuriance. It runs between the River Albunuelas orchards (Old Rio Santo) and the town has many sources and drains. One of the attractions of the town is to stroll through the streets of Moorish older, aimlessly lost its narrow alleys and discover the authentic Andalusia. Highly recommended is to follow any of the paths that lead down to the river through the gardens and see how their neighbors live field yet. The population is not large but is divided into three districts.La Loma, Barrio Bajo and Barrio Alto where Uncle Bayo Tower, the old laundry, the City, the convent-church... On the right the Flats with the hermitage of San Sebastian, and narrow streets, steep and cobbled. The houses are whitewashed and many potted flowers look.  The Loma neighborhood where the house is located, is a privileged and quiet where life is unhurried in its terraces and roofs clothes hanging shares space with sun-dried tomatoes. The silence is broken only streets with mobile shops horns rising to bring bread, Motril fresh fish, fruit and vegetables. Just across the street, the visitor is in the middle of the Sierra de Albuñuelas, an area of ??outstanding natural beauty where you can enter easily if you follow the international path that crosses the mountain GR7 path Almuñecar.
