A great house for 1-2 families or a group of friends, our villa has a deep pool set in gardens above the orchard. Near to good markets and local towns, and away from the tourist coastal towns, this is an ideal place to experience the best of Costa Blanca countryside. Sited just below the wonderful walking area of the National Park, and short drives from many great attractions, there is plenty to see and do, or you can simply chill out on the property. A new bar has opened recently within walking distance serving typical Spanish food.

IPod dock in CD player. The house is well stocked with recent novels and a small collection of classical CDs, but bring your own choice of music on your iPod. Two good cookery books of typical Spanish recipes (written in English!) make self catering with local ingredients a real pleasure. The blender completes your meal by enabling you to make delicious cocktails. I particularly recommend the watermelon sangria in the drinks section of the 'Cooking from La Mancha' to cool you down on a hot summer's day.

Large cushions complement the naya furniture, so you can siesta in the shade outside. There are 3 pool loungers but be careful not to burn! Eat al fresco at the two large tables (with 12 chairs) by our covered barbecue.
The house has been furnished with great care to provide all comforts for 12 people to stay. Furniture is simple but high quality and bedrooms and bathrooms are decorated with designer furnishings.
The Valenciana region
Costa Blanca has both its touristy areas (Benidorm) and its contrasting typically Spanish parts. With year round sun and mild winter temperatures, this is a lovely holiday area in any month, but we particularly like it in Spring for the flowering fruit trees and Autumn for the lingering warmth. Backed by rocky mountains, this area was heavily populated by Moors and this is reflected in the festivals, architecture and local language.
No visit to Casa Lili would be complete without a visit to at least one of the local markets. Our favourite is Almoradi, where the Saturday market is sited either side of the church square, with plenty of stalls selling everything from fruit and vegetables to leather goods, clothes, shoes and jewellery. Stop for churros and coffee or late breakfast in one of the many cafes, or buy fresh fish and chorizo to cook up later or make your own tapas.
A short drive away in Elche, make sure to visit the Palmerol, the largest palm forest in Europe, or move on t Alicante and climb the Castillo de Santa Barbera for a breathtaking view over the city. Don't miss the Guadalest castle and house, with lots to see and good places for a cheap lunch (we had the best paella ever in a small restaurant on the outskirts of the town). For beautiful Spanish pottery at amazingly cheap (non-tourist) prices, visit Totana in Murcia province or for a secluded beach with black sand set in a nature reserve, drive down to the Cabo Negrita south of Cartagena. For avid bird watchers, visit the Salt Marsh reserve to see flamingo and many other waders and water birds.
There are too many fiestas to list here, but visit our website for more details of local attractions.

We (extended family , 8 adults 18-50 plus three grandcildren - 18 mths - 5yrs) have just returned from Casa Lili. It is excellent accomodation, grounds and pool and delivered everything it says 'on the tin' we loved the area - barely any english speakers around, typical spanish towns with plenty of food stops/bars, nearby Churros was excellent ofered friendly service, great tapas and a good stroll. Recommend vist to Hondon for great food, fiesta and breathtaking scenery. There is easy access to beaches (we went to San Pedro/La Marina) both clean and safe for children . The owner was extremely helpful, nothing a bother , great instructions and good suggestions would definately recommend and return to this villa.
