Situated within 25 minutes of the beautiful city of Bath and 10 minutes from "the most beautiful village in Britain" - Castle Combe - Garden Flat is a ground floor apartment in a lovely quiet rural position. Your holiday accommodation overlooks glorious South Cotswold countryside. Although attached to the owners' house Garden Flat is completely self contained and has full central heating and excellent wifi throughout.

The apartment comprises: a cosy and comfortable living /dining room, kitchen with ceramic hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and oven and an

,adjoining utility area with washing machine.

The bathroom has bath with shower over and WC with lots of large fluffy white towels.

The double bedroom has a new hotel quality king size bed. Outside there is a small patio with table and chairs reached by a rear door. Ample parking directly in front.

To make your stay extra special we will leave you milk, wine, biscuits, fresh flowers and fruit.

In addition to the pretty village of Castle Combe the historic city of Bath, the old towns of Tetbury and Malmesbury. Cirencester and the heart of the Cotswolds are within less than an hour's drive. as are a number of National Trust properties. Westonbirt Arboretum is also close by as is Bristol with its wealth of history coupled with a lively modern city. There also are plenty of footpaths and bridleways for walkers and riders.

We are within 1 mile of Badminton Park and the annual 4* horse trials. Garden flat is available for horse trials week (6 nights).

The England region

The South Cotswolds is a beautiful area with a number of historic villages, towns and cities to visit. Bath with its Georgian architecture and Roman Baths and Bristol with the SS Great Britain, Clifton Suspension Bridge are both within a 30 minute drive. Malmesbury and Tetbury are 20 minutes away.The countryside is extremely pretty with many walks and rides for cyclists and equestrians to explore and some very pretty villages such as Castle Combe and Lacock.The National Arboretum at Westonbirt is also close by.There are numerous excellent restaurants in the area, some holding Michelin stars.Cirencester is about 45 minutes drive and from there the rest of the Cotswolds are easily reached.There are a number of National Trust properties in the area to visit such as Dyrham Park, Lacock Abbey, Newark Park and Tyntesfield

Acton Turville

Acton Turville is one mile from Badminton in the middle of the Beaufort Estate.. There are plenty of footpaths and bridleways to explore the region and several historic and interesting places to visit. The Beaufort estate has footpaths that you can follow and a permissive bridleway - the Seven Mile Ride.Both Acton Turville and Badminton have a general store and Post Office and Acton Turville has a village pub, The Fox and Hounds which serves good food. The famous Badminton Horse Trials, a 4* equestrian event, happens in May each year. Garden Flat is only 1 mile from the showground.

Getting around

There are a number of footpaths and bridleways meaning that you can explore the immediate countryside without a car but one is really needed if you want to go further afield. There is, however, a local bus service which runs through Acton Turville from the pretty market town of Malmesbury to Yate where you can catch other buses to Bristol or Bath or catch a train to Bristol, Gloucester or Cheltenham.
