Description from owner
Description
The Tower is a self contained property adjacent to the owners, in the scenic village of Salen on the Ardnamurchan peninsula. The property is located at the end of a private drive, surrounded by woodland with views over to Loch Sunart and the surrounding hills.
The property is a perfect getaway for couples - either as a romantic break or just as a holiday getaway. You can even bring the dog!
The Tower has been recently refurbished to a high standard to give you a truly special holiday.
Located on the stunning Ardnamurchan peninsula, the property is ideally situated to access all that the area offers - be that boat trips to Mull and the Small Isles, exploring the local wildlife, skiing at Fort William - or just enjoying the Tower and having a truly relaxing break.
The Tower is an upside down property - downstairs is your bedroom with an oak kingside bed, cosy duck down duvet and plenty of storage space. Just opposite is your bathroom with spacious walk in shower, washbasin and WC with plenty of towels. The spiral staircase leads you into the living room with living flame gas fire and feature oak fireplace, sofa, satellite tv and dvd player and dining area. There is an excellent selection of books, dvds and cds for you to make use of. Wifi is available but can be intermittent.
The patio doors lead out onto a balcony where you can enjoy al fresco dining or just sit and enjoy the views over Loch Sunart, watching the buzzards ( or even a golden eagle if you are lucky!) soar down the valley.
The kitchen is located off the living room and its compact size means it is easy to cook in - gas hob and oven, fridge and dishwasher and a good range of kitchen utensils. If you need additional freezer space, access to washing machine and dryer, just let us know and you are welcome to make use of ours.
Although only a minutes walk from the local pub and 5 minutes walk from the local shop, the property offers you complete seclusion.
All linen is provided, as are towels and tea towels. Starter pack includes loo roll, kitchen roll and cleaning equipment. Enough tea, coffee, sugar and milk to see you through the first couple of days are provided too.
