Rhoshendre is situated in a quiet area very close to the University, National Library and the Agricultural Institute making the house an ideal base for visiting parents, researchers and staff. A bus stops outside the house to Aberystwyth centre (5 minutes). For holidaymakers the area offers seasiders and mountains, beautiful countryside and lots to do and places to go. The town has a long prom; cafes, cinema, eating places, castle, beaches and much more.

The town has cafes, pubs, eating places, a cinema and leisure centre and more. Aberystwyth has two beaches with large sandy beaches 20 minutes away at Borth and Ynylas. The National Library of Wales and the University Arts Centre provide more entertainment. The surrounding countryside and mountains are full of other places of interest . The Vale of Rheidol steam railway and Devils Bridge are popular attractions.
