“Fantastic honeymoon”

Reviewed 12 Jun 2017

Lovely cosy cottage, surrounded by beautiful scenery. The cottage was luxurious and immaculate. We loved the little details of chocolates on the pillows, bathrobes, bathroom products and especially the chilled bottle of prosecco on arrival to celebrate the start of our honeymoon. We also took our two young children who also loved their holiday house, especially the big box of toys they found in the cupboard. We would definitely recommend and go again.

Owner's reply: Hello and thank you for this lovely review. We are so happy that you chose Buzzard cottage for your honeymoon and that the entire family enjoyed their stay. When I go on holiday i always appreciate the little extras and this is why i enjoy doing the same for our guests. We would be so happy to welcome you all back to Nether Glenny one day. We are always improving the cottages and the surrounding gardens so no doubt you would see some changes. Very best wishes, Alison and Matthew.

“Stunning Location”

Reviewed 2 May 2017

Visited with another couple and 2 dogs for a chill out weekend and that's exactly what we got. Beautiful setting, great walks and handy for visiting Aberfoyle and Callender.

Owner's reply: Hello and thank you for your review. Really pleased to hear that you all had a lovely time at Nether Glenny. Very best wishes, Alison and Matthew.

“Fabulous over night stay at Nether Glenny”

Reviewed 5 Jan 2016

Wasn't entirely sure what to expect. The pictures on line looked fabulous but you're always a bit wary of accommodation but we were not disappointed. The cottage was beautifully decorated & spotlessly clean. A pleasant surprise was that the owner Alison also allowed us the use of the smaller, one bed roomed cottage (this too was beautifully decorated). We only booked for one night (an alternative Christmas night out to going to a hotel for a party night) & the group decided that packing up two cars with food & booze was the way forward for us from now on for our Christmas celebrations! Alison the owner was very friendly & was patient & accommodating when it came to me e-mailing her about early entry into the cottage (we did get in early). There are dogs that live in the main house (blue picardy spaniels I think & we were lucky enough to get a hold of one of the pups) & a very friendly cat which made its way into the cottage during the night (we left a window open just to let some fresh air in) & made itself comfortable until the morning. We'll definitely be back here & I'd go back with my husband & our dog for a night or two too. The surrounding scenery is stunning. The wifi signal wasn't brilliant but that didn't bother any of us. Couldn't fault the cottage, the surroundings or the owner!

Owner's reply: Hello and thank you for this review. Amusing to hear that Harris joined you in the night !! I was happy to offer you Kestrel - it's not often that I have extra space available. Glad that you enjoyed the extra space. You were lovely guests and I look forward very much to welcoming you back some day with your dog. The puppies are doing very well and growing more gorgeous every day.Bye for now, Alison

“Wonderful vacation rental”

Reviewed 25 Oct 2014

This vacation rental (Buzzard Cottage) was everything we were hoping for and more. We loved the location, the gorgeous views all around us and the sound of sheep in the morning. The accommodations were really cozy and spacious. We felt right at home and would definitely go back.

Owner's reply: And we would be delighted to welcome you back, thank you and best wishes from both of us.

“Great location for Fishing and Golf”

Reviewed 15 Oct 2014

We have rented Buzzard cottage for the past two years and will do so again; God willing. The hired used of a boat offering exclusive access to Lake Menteith is a real benefit and makes Buzzard cottage a must for any anglers wishing to sample the not inconsiderable attractions of Scotland's premier trout water. The cottage is well presented, comfortable and clean and the owners Alison and Matthew make any stay here in and of itself a pleasant experience; nothing is too much trouble to them. My friends stay here for the fishing and the opportunity to take on some truly delightful Golf course, Callander and St Fillans being a couple not to be missed. In all a great place to stay if fishing and Golf are your "thing" but if you're simply looking for a spot to explore the area you could a lot worse. The views over the lake are memorable.

Owner's reply: Thank you for this review. I am quite sure that anglers and golfers who read it will find it most useful. We look forward to welcoming your group back this year and trust that you will enjoy the improvements that we will have made to Buzzard. As a keen chef I am confident that you will appreciate the new kitchen and utensils. Best wishes from the Nether Glenny Team.

“Idyllic location. Cosy cottage to get away from the madding crowd.”

Reviewed 14 Oct 2014

Buzzard Cottage is ideal for two people. Very cosy with an authentic sitting room complete with wood burning stove. An up to date and well fitted kitchen is well equipped to enable guests who wish to prepare their own meals or do some laundry if so desired (washing machine very handy to wash walking gear). The bedroom is comfortable & spacious and the well appointed conservatory diner means you can enjoy the view of the surrounding countryside at any time, whatever the weather. It's a lovely place to stay.

Owner's reply: Thank you for taking time to review Buzzard cottage. We are always pleased to hear that our guests enjoy the features of the cottages. Very best wishes from the Nether Glenny Team.

“Autumn Break”

Reviewed 14 Oct 2014

At this time of year you need an uplifting weekend break and that is exactly what 'The Glenny' Autumn break did for us. There is no better place to appreciate this wonderful month; gorgeous views, peaceful walks and exhilarating weather. You cannot fault these wonderful hosts who have a real passion to ensure you have a wonderful experience. You better book now or I will get in there before you!!!!!

Owner's reply: Possibly our favourite review to date! Thank you and come back to see us soon telling me of course that you were the creator of this review.. until then best wishes from the NG team.
