Description from owner

Description

Croftness Cottage is part of the old farm steading dating back to the 1860s and was lovingly upgraded in early 2017. The Cottage has a rustic yet modern feel to it. It’s light and airy yet still retains the traditional charm of an old cottage.

The ground floor consists of a large kitchen with exposed beams and a beautiful window seat. The kitchen has all modern conveniences such as dishwasher and integrated fridge freezer and has all the equipment needed to whip up a yummy meal! Leading on from the kitchen is the utility room with washing machine, dryer, ironing board and iron. There is also plenty of space here to hang up your walking gear after a day out. The bathroom on the ground floor provides an opportunity for you to unwind in a bubble bath or for the little ones to use before bed time. The double aspect living room consists of comfy custom made sofas, wood burning stove, Free Sat TV, and library.

The first floor has two bedrooms, both of which are en-suite and have their own Smart TV with Free View as well as stunning window seats to curl up on and read a book. The master bedroom has a king size bed and feature fire place. The second bedroom can either be king size or twin depending on your needs. Both bedrooms have comfy window seats allowing you the opportunity to enjoy views up Dun Hill.

Outside you have a private patio with garden furniture and chimnea/BBQ to enjoy the stunning location that is Croftness.

We do welcome 1 large dog or 2 small dogs to the Cottage (for an additional £20/dog charge). Please do note our doggy 'rules':

- please keep dogs out of bedrooms

- we have free range hens, horses and sheep with lambs at Croftness so dogs must be kept on a lead when out and about

- we cannot guarantee the patio is secure so please keep a close eye on your dog or keep them on a lead when using this space

- dogs must not be left alone in the Cottage

- we provide dog water and food bowls, dog towel and poo bags

There are lots of dog friendly cafes and pubs in Aberfeldy and plenty of stunning walks from the Farmhouse to enjoy with your dog so it is an ideal getaway for you and your pup.

“Beautiful Cottage”

Reviewed 15 Jun 2019

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Croftness Cottage which was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had everything we needed and we especially appreciated the stair gate which allowed our toddler Grandson some freedom. Our host, Laura, was in touch to make sure everything was going well and we felt very much at home. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing holiday.
