Description

St Cadfan’s Lodge is a cedar wood chalet located in a quiet corner of the Plas Panteidal Holiday village. It is comfortably fitted and furnished on a Celtic theme; ideal for individuals and couples who are interested in all things Celtic,with many books and maps.

Plas Panteidal is at the foot of the Cader Idris mountain range close to the resorts and beauty spots of Cardigan Bay, Aberystwyth, Aberaeron and Aberdovey with its sandy beach.

There are many significant Celtic sites within easy range of the lodge. It is near several Arthurian sites. – Carn March Arthur is within walking distance and the Centre of alternative Technology is close by. It is a walker’s dream for hills and coastal paths.

The living area is open plan with a sofa and easy-chairs, TV DVD/CD player and radio. There is a selection of music CDs and a small library of Celtic books. At the dining end there is a folding table and chairs for six.

There is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with Individual lighting. The shower room has a wall-mounted fan heater and extractor fan.

The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge-freezer, cooker, microwave oven, toaster, kettle and coffee maker. It is complete with cooking utensils, crockery and glassware.

The lodge has a very pleasant conservatory overlooking the valley and wood. It has warm up-lighting and extension speakers. It is a place to catch the sun or relax in the evening or watch birds and sometimes badgers!

Bed linen is provided and beds will be made up.

Electric heaters are available should it be chilly!

Electricity is paid by guests using a coin operated meter that takes £1 coins.

You will need a car to access St Cadfan. Parking is adjacent to the property.

Sorry, but St Cadfan is for non-smokers only and we are unable to take pets.

The North Wales region

Plas Pantiedal is a holiday destination which over looks the Dovey Estuary and a view of the panoramic hills.

It is a quiet peaceful location. Adjacent woodland and access to walking the panoramic hills seen from the conservatory.

Aberdyfi (Aberdovey)

Look one way and you can see the Irish Sea, look the other way and you see the Cader Idris Mountain range.

Aberdpvey is a delightful estuary town, with a Mediterranean feel - a fantastic beach. and ecellent pubs and restaurants.

The ancient Welsh cap;ital of Machynlleth is nearby - a superb well known market town.

Getting around

Whilst a car is the most useful means of transport it is possible to take the bus. The stop is situated at the entrance of the site and will take you to Aber Dovey or Machynlleth. The Cambrian coastal railway runs from Machynlleth to Phwelli. This is a regular service and can be steam or electric. The nearest station is Machynlleth or Towyn.
