“Delightful stay”

Reviewed 25 Jul 2016

I have to say I really enjoyed my stay, loved the cottage, especially the large balcony with its spectacular view and the cottage itself is very comfortable, The living room and kitchen are both spacious with lots of natural light. The bedrooms aren't huge but big enough, the only drawback being the windows immediately look out onto tall foliage and so the rooms are dark but then you only sleep in those rooms and I found the bed in the main bedroom very comfortable too. The cottage is centrally heated and warms the house quickly and was very easy to use. I've read some reviews where people have complained about the electricity meter taking £1 coins and being expensive over the course of their stay, but we stayed 3 nights and we only put £6 in the meter and there was still a little credit left on the day we were leaving, so I found it very reasonable. The only thing I think the cottage lacks is internet provision, I could get a phone signal quite easily but not get on the internet for some reason and although I wasn't bothered about social media, I do use the internet when I'm on holiday to look at places to visit and local restaurant views etc, so it would have been nice to have the option, but all in all, a lovely cottage, coupled with the view, feels very serene and peaceful. If you book it make sure you look for the signs on the roadside. we missed it initially and take a cruet set, there isn't one in the kitchen. I'd certainly book it again, it's a lovely retreat if you are looking for peace and quiet.
