Your stay culminates with a celebration of the Celtic New Year (Samhain) which falls on the 31st October. This is a festival of fire which acknowledges our ancestors and looks to the future. Our celebration will be with stories and music. The Mill has been refurbished with the highest of green credentials: Under floor heating, using an innovative ground source heat pump, which harnesses the energy from the stream running past the mill; solar panels which heat the hot water; and the latest in energy-efficient LED lighting technology. Renovated to a very high standard throughout, great care has been taken to retain as many of the original features as possible; exposed beams, open vaulted ceilings and thick granite walls all add to its charm and character. Upstairs has lovely old mellow pine flooring, whilst downstairs has flagstone flooring which keep the rooms cosy thanks to the efficient underfloor heating system. All five bedrooms are on the ground floor, including one with a kingsize bed. Two of the rooms have ensuite shower rooms/toilets with drench showers. There is also a family bathroom with a roll-top bath and separate shower.
