“Idyllic country cottage with lovely sea views”

Reviewed 19 Apr 2016

Beautiful cottage set in a lovely garden which was safe to let our very active terrier run around in. The cottage was well equipped and the beds were really comfortable. The sea view from the lounge was wonderful and beat the TV hands down. It was very quiet and secluded - no phone signal or wifi. Very close to great beaches - we visited no less than 5 in 4 days - our dog Ruby loved chasing balls on the beach. Steph and Terry were very welcoming - even sorted us out with some towels which we had not brought for ourselves!

Owner's reply: Thank you for your 5 star review, we loved having you here.... and what fantastic weather you enjoyed too. Look forward to welcoming you again soon. Best regards, Terry & Steph

“Cosy comfortable cottage surrounded by big skies and amazing beaches”

Reviewed 29 Mar 2015

We spent a week at the quaint rural Coach House cottage and loved it. Set in beautiful countryside the Coach House is set amongst about 5 other cottages but it's laid out perfectly to ensure you have privacy as well. Terry and Steph who own the property are lovely people who have gone out their way to make sure the cottage is really comfortable. You can even see the sea from the living room window. It has a fully enclosed garden which was great for our dogs. They loved it! As the owners also have dogs they know what dog owners are looking for and it makes all the difference. The whole area is surrounded by amazing beaches. Our favourite was the whistling sands and it has a lovely wee cafe on the beach. At night because there is absolutely no light pollution you get an amazing view of the stars. That coupled with the fact the only noise you can hear is the occasional BAA from a sheep it is a place of absolute peace! Simply stunning. The nearest beach is about 1 mile away and its a an enjoyable walk down. The nearest shop (very small shop) is about 6 miles away. Spar is 9 miles way. So make sure you bring enough wine with you! There isn't any wifi and we had no service for our phones which might not suit everyone but as we wanted a complete 'Get away from it all' it ticked every box and more.

Owner's reply: It was so lovely to meet you and that kind of review means the world to us. It makes all our hard work to make your holiday special worthwhile. Thank you.

“Excellent location!”

Cottage was very comfortable and has everything you need, lovely beaches nearby and coastal walks and a nice time to visit the peninsular

Owner's reply: Thank you we love Autumn to.... when the peninsular begins to wind down from the hectic Summer months and displays the countryside in all its glory. Look forward to seeing you again.

“Dog friendly, lovely warm cottage with fantastic owners”

Reviewed 17 Jan 2014

My wife and I wanted somewhere to go with our three dogs for a quick weekend away. Booked cottage through holidaylettings.co.uk and had a response back from Steph & Terry within 24 hours. We arrived at the cottage which was easy to find following the directions provided. Cottage was lovely and warm when entering with the heating turned on and the log fire going. What made the welcome even better was a nice home made cake to have with our cuppa. Marvellous!!! We didn't want for anything whilst there with Steph and Terry making it quite clear nothing was too much trouble. All we had to do was ask :) Great location, great people and lovely cottage. Highly recommended.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your great comments. We know how hard it is finding somewhere lovely that genuinely welcomes dogs and when they are as well behaved as yours we know that we have done the right thing in saying yes to them. Thank you for leaving everything so lovely and clean and hopefully you and the dogs will be able to come back again soon for some lovely long beach walks. Many thanks Steph & Terry
