Situated in the Llyn Peninsula Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), Ysgubor Bach stands alone half way between the historic village of Aberdaron and the beautiful beach at Porth Oer (Whistling Sands). Dating from 1748 it is a traditional stone built former farmhouse offering exposed beams, real fires, a fully working kitchen range and Aga cooker. The property has been renovated to a high standard and tastefully furnished, yet retains its homely atmosphere. In addition, the guests at the property have access (optional) to the only traditional Russian banya (sauna) in Wales, a spa treatment that is a fantastic hot-tub alternative.
It is approximately 3/4 mile from local shops, cafes, public houses and beaches and an ideal location for those wishing to get away from it all and be within easy access to all amenities. There are a number of great golf courses nearby including that of Nefyn Golf Club sited on the cliffs above Porth Dinlaen some 12 miles away.

The Gwynedd region
The village of Aberdaron lies at the tip of the Ll?n Peninsula. The village is within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty as well as Heritage Coastline.
There has been a place of Christian worship at the edge of the sea at Aberdaron since the fifth century. It's well worth a visit to St Hywyn's Church as the many pilgrim groups that visit to experience the beauty and peace of the area have found. Aberdaron was the last stop before the pilgrims traveled across the sea to Bardsey Island, famous for being known as the island of 20,000 saints.

"Lovely cottage, great rural location with fantastic views"
This was our second year back to Ysgubor Bach and, once again, we were very happy with our choice. The cottage is in a great location. Less than a mile from Whistling Sands. A beautiful, quite rural location with fantastic views. Irina had cleaned and laid out the cottage as beautifully as ever and was so helpful when one of our kids managed to block the toilet. The cottage is always warm and the wood burning stove is a bonus. We had some family stay with us at the beginning of the week for a couple of days and then some friends for a couple of days at the end of the week. They all commented on how comfortable and lovely the cottage is. They said 'how did you find this little gem?' The weather was great - sunny most days, just one day of rain. We all felt so relaxed when we left on Saturday. Will definitely be booking again for next year. We were even at the epicentre of an earthquake one night and, although we felt the beds moving, the cottage is so sturdy with such thick walls that not even a single plate fell off the wall! There is a lovely big garden for the kids to run around in. Thank you to Irina and Simon
