It is just 20 meters from the coastal path which offers spectacular views of Ynys Enlli (Bardsey Island) and along the Peninsula towards Snowdonia. Ynys Enlli, a former site of religious pilgrimage is now a National Nature Reserve that can be visited by boat from Porth Meudwy, just 2 miles from your cottage.

A 2 mile journey along a quiet country lane brings you to the beautiful, coastal village of Aberdaron. This is the most western village on the tip of the Llyn Peninsula where you will find a lovely sandy beach, two excellent pubs with restaurants, cafes, a village Bakery where you can get fresh bread every morning, Spar shop, newsagents and a Beach shop.

The Llyn Peninsula is a designated area of outstanding natural beauty where the Welsh language and way of life still flourish. It is renowned for its beautiful beaches, water sport and delightful coastal villages. With 84 miles of stunning coastline, an array of hills of varying height inland plus the majestic mountains of Snowdonia on your doorstep, it's also a great place for a walking holiday.

Another experience not to be missed during your stay at this cottage is a visit to Porthoer (Whistling Sands) – a beautiful beach where the sand does actually whistle under your feet. Also recommended are visits to the historical Plas yn Rhiw manor house (6 miles), Felin Uchaf Educational Centre (5 miles) and the numerous castles, including Cricieth (26 miles) and Caernarfon (35 miles). For family days out, Glasfryn Parc is a must with its go-karting, ten-pin bowling, archery etc, along with the Ffestiniog Railway, the Italian village of Portmeirion, Greenwood Forest Park and the National Slate Museum at Llanberis.
