“A beautiful apartment with great views” The condo is beautiful, fully equipped and clean. Everything was working great. Beach is very close und also wonderful. It has a quiet location and spaciousness. The landlord was very accommodating, friendly and helpful We had a great time there.

“Perfection” This was our second visit to Vieques, but our first time in this house. We will never stay anywhere else. This house is absolutely amazing! It's roomy and cozy, and it's literally right on the beach. I loved going to sleep and then waking up to the sounds of the ocean (and dogs barking) ?. For me, it's perfection. There were four adults for this trip, and we all loved it. We loved the spacious backyard (where we ate fresh coconut from the trees in the backyard), the pool, the various amenities, everything! For the price, this place cannot be beat. As far as the island, well I can hardly begin to describe it. It's paradise. But if you're looking for resort style living, Vieques is not the place. It's raw and non-commercial, but that's what we love about it. The beaches are beautiful and nearly empty, the snorkeling is awesome, the food is great, and the island vibe is strong. The roads need some work, but driving on them was fun and adventurous. Make sure you rent a Jeep or something. Some of the roads to the beaches are, uh, challenging. Overall, it's a place you just have to discover and explore on your own.

“Perfect getaway” We spent 5 days at the Bonita Vista in June/July 2013. The cottage has everything that you need - air conditioning, comfortable bed, very nice kitchen complete with cooking supplies, coffee and coffee maker, and even spices. The private pool bar was amazing. The views from the bar are spectacular - you can see all the way to the bays. As other reviewers have said, the pool isn't huge, but it's great for cooling off in the evening. There is also a nice grill that was kept stocked with gas. Barbara and Chris were great hosts. They make sure that everything is taken care of for you. They will pick you up from the airport and drop you off when you leave. They have beach chairs, an umbrella, snorkel gear, everything you could need for the beach. They'll also provide you with recommendations for things to do, beaches to go to, places to hike, where to buy food for grilling. They're there as much as you need them, or as invisible as you like. They have two very friendly dogs, but if you don't like dogs, don't fear, the dogs are well-trained and know not to go too close to the cottage. Overall, I would highly recommend the Bonita Vista to anyone considering a trip to Vieques. We couldn't have been happier with our decision to stay there.

“The best getaway/hideout ever!” My wife and I have been to Vieques many times, but until now have not found a house that we would want to rent twice. Casa angular is stunning, and really is as shown in the photos on this website. It is remote, secluded, private, yet only a ten minute drive from Esperanza, on of the two town centers on the island. The house is very well-appointed with high quality furnishings, appliances, and kitchen equipment. The house itself is well laid out architecturally, but it is the attractiveness of the furnishings that made it so comfortable. The owners have put a lot of care into their decorating choices. The integrated pool is stunning and will have you debating whether to bother exploring beaches or to just stay at the house and enjoy your own private space. We also found Colleen, Casa angular's property manager, very pleasant and responsive as is the house's owner. They both did all they could to make our stay relaxing and problem-free. If you haven't guessed already, we really enjoyed our stay and are already plotting our return next winter. The house is best for one or two couples, or for a family of four.
