“Charming and comfortable” We stayed here for 3 nights last month: 6 adults and 3 kids (ages 14, 14, and 10.) The apartment is off the beaten track, so it's quiet. It is about a 15 minute walk to San Marco. The apartment is very comfortable and was large enough for us all to be able to get away from each other if need be, while the front sitting room had plenty of room for us to hang out together and share meals together. It's a very attractive room- high ceilings and full of light from the floor to ceiling windows that can be opened for a breeze. Lots of places for everyone to sit and gaze at the canal out the window and catch sight of gigantic ocean liners that go by in the morning. The wi-fi was heavily used by our group and was fine. The front bedroom is enormous and gorgeous - it appears to have been created out of a library or dining room. The other bedrooms are small but very comfortable, and every room had its own bathroom which was great. The temperature in the apartment was comfortable in mid-June. We only used the air-conditioning at night when the occasional mosquito would drift in if windows were left open. We made our own breakfast every morning and cooked dinner together at night; the 2 kitchens are well-equipped for cooking. There is a grocery store just a few blocks down the road and a fantastic outdoor market near the Rialto Bridge with surrounding shops for cheese, wines, cured meats. There are numerous canal-side restaurants just outside the apartment, and we enjoyed pizza and prosecco at one of them on our first glorious (jet-lagged) day in Venice. Giorgio was very helpful, friendly, and professional. He met us at the water taxi stop when we arrived and showed us around, gave us directions to trattorias and gelato, and arranged for our water taxi when we left. He could be reached easily by email or text during our stay, and responded immediately when we needed anything. All around a great experience.

“Well appointed rooms with unconditional hospitality” After being welcomed with Thomas's famous bellini's we knew we couldn't go wrong! A beautiful spacious home with well appointed rooms (many with ensuite bathrooms), exquisite venetian linens and wonderful views this is the perfect location to take it all in. Only a short train ride to Venice the location was perfect. You could head in to the hustle and bustle on a given day or relax on the lovely deck or take a tour on any given day to the many unique towns a stones throw away. One of our favorite things was to visit the local farms and taste their many offerings from wine to fruit and nuts. Sherril and Thomas were very hospitable hosts that went above and beyond. If you have the time arrange for Thomas to cook you a traditional meal - it is worth the $$. Make sure you have a vehicle if you plan on staying with them as they live in a rural area. Amazing time - we will be back.

“Sunlight and water - a generous and comfortable apartment in a great location” We stayed in Giorgio's apartment in October. It's in a wonderful location right on the Zattere waterfront, with all the fun of the passing water traffic and the lights of Guidecca in the distance at night. The bright, light-filled living room/dining area was terrific, with additional space in the kitchen and everything we needed for comfortable meals for the six of us. Access to the apartment was easy, it looks slightly tucked away on the map but in reality it's a two minute walk to the Salute vaporetto stop on the Grand Canal and not much more to the frequent Zattere service - so it's perfect for arrivals and departures, whether via the station or the airport. Giorgio's written (and spoken) English is excellent, and he was very helpful in accomodating all our booking needs. This made the arrangements very easy, with prompt replies throughout, and when we arrived he was ready with advice and even managed restaurant bookings for us despite our arrival mid-Saturday evening.
