Definitely Trullo tranquillo

If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing holiday Trullo Tranquillo is the place for you! When you arrive the first time you wonder if you are ever going to find it. As previous reviewers have said it is on a hill at the end of a pretty rough narrow road! We most loved the fact that apart from sleeping we lived outside all the time we were there. The Trullo has a lovely terrace with a dining area and sitting area and you can lounge around the pool too. The situation is great as there are lots of interesting places within 30-45 mins. We had lovely trips to Ostuni, Martina Franca and Locorotondo, Alberobello, Monopoli, Cisternino. Lecce is a fabulous city and we took a train there from Ostuni (50 mins) as a break from the often crazy Italian driving. We visited beaches along the Adriatic coast too but they are not sandy beaches like our local Scottish ones ( admittedly the water is warmer) and we probably wouldn't rush back to them. Bari was interesting too. Don't miss the Ostuni Saturday market which has a fabulous array of shoes as well as the usual fruit veg, household stuff. We found that communication with Brendan, the owner, was excellent from the booking stage through to the accurate advice and instructions pre visit and Tom who looks after the property was also very helpful when we had an electricity hiccup. Trullo Bugello with private pool
Perfect place!

We have just returned from a week at the Trullo. It has everything you need for a week away and Sally the owner (as others have said) was so helpful before the trip. We took our toddler and the cot provided was lovely and clean. It’s about 25 mins to the coast and we spent 2 days at the Bambu club near Monopoli which has free access to the beach and a lovely restaurant/bar. You can park opposite the beach for a few euros. I would recommend a trip to Matera and Alberobello is lovely which is super close. If you want to go to Lecce and further south it’s quite a trek and there’s so much to see in this area we didn’t bother going. Everything in the towns shuts down from 2:30-7:30 ish and so we used that time to head to the beach- something to bear in mind when getting food etc. We had lovely lunches out and tended to get supper at the Villa as it was so lovely there. The nearest supermarket we found most helpful was Cette7. All in all we couldn’t fault our stay, and we would certainly recommend to others- loved it! … see more
Casa Mandorlina
Beautiful villa/Trulli in a beautiful scenic setting

Located away from the main road on hill overlooking the Contrada. This villa is very tranquil, clean and well equipped. The owners Wendy and Louis send you lots of information from how to get there in a very detailed instructions, to everything the villa has. It is well equipped and your looked after by Bob and a Helga from Belgium who look after the place when the owners are not around. Nothing was too much trouble and Louis contacted us to make sure we had no complaints. A personal touch. There is detailed information of nearby area of fabulous Ostuni and surrounding places, to beaches to explore, supermarkets and restaurants. My husband and I are building A Trullo not Far from here and having to work while we sorted out our own business Casa Mandorlina suited our needs, with WIFI and comfortable accomodation that meant after a hard day we could relax. Listening to the sounds Of the countryside and people in other villas enjoying them evenings this is a lovely place to stay. You will feel right at home the moment you are here and I highly recommend staying. A car is a must and go explore. Good facilities with great pool

Lovely stay in Richard’s spotless villa, well equipped, very comfortable bed and Brilliant outside space. Lovely welcome basket and host organised shopping for us prior to our arrival. Lots of nice touches such as washing & dishwasher tablets , shampoo etc and with Covid situation antibacterial gel on entry and certificates showing cleaning standards. The pool is great and a lovely sandy beach 5 mins walk. The village has a lovely bread shop, butchers and small supermarket. It’s a very quiet location so great if you just want to chill, however easy access to Brindisi airport (25mins) and Other main roads to southern Puglia. … see more

Beautiful Villa

The villa is very spacious and well equipped; it was spotlessly clean. Its perfect for families or a group of friends. The pool is fantastic and the cleanest pool we have ever had. The owners were fantastic as we struggled to find the villa (as TomTom wouldn't accept address, so google maps better) and they arranged for the housekeeper to come and collect us; they also arranged for a further car hire when we damaged ours.
