“Simply stunning!” I travelled to many places but have never felt upon entering my lodging the way I did when I set my foot in Tranquility Villa. The place is indescribably beautiful -- the pictures on the website do not justice to the views you have from the villa. Together with my family, we had huge trouble coming up with appropriate adjectives that would sum this place up. You have the view of the Caribbean Sea to your left, palm and bamboo trees and Blue Mountains in front of you and to your right. The villa staff -- Dennis and Beverly -- should teach courses on hospitality. They were warm, friendly, and welcoming; we immediately bonded with them. Dennis cut gorgeous flowers every morning to set at the table on the terrace. Beverly cooked Jamaican food that was just incredible. Our driver, Charlie, proved to be so much more than a driver. He was an amazing guide. He went out of his way to accomodate us and to show real Jamaica to us. I really have nothing negative to say about Tranquility Villa. The villa is clean and stylishly furnished, the beds are comfy, the service is impeccable, and the owner with whom we booked our stay was kind and willing to spend considerable amount of time over the phone with me prior to our landing in Jamaica and answer my questions. The ride through Blue Mountains to get to Port antonio is beautiful and definitely worth the 2 hours in the car. Since getting back, we are recommending Tranquility Villa to all our friends and family. Just before leaving the villa, we took a picture with Beverly, Dennis, and Charlie and as we were leaving, found ourselves tearing up -- which tells ou how lovely the staff was towards us! It was a heavenly stay!

“We Loved Norse Hill” This was my wife and my first trip to Jamaica and this wonderful area near Port antonio (and my first-ever review of a vacation spot). Norse Hill is unbelievable, yeh mon! The house is large, as are all of the rooms. Beautiful wood work, ornate railings, local artwork, high ceilings, cool architecture, you name it. The staff was very friendly, polite and welcoming. We only had breakfast because we were gone during the days and nights. Fresh fruit, plantains, pancakes, bacon, eggs, a local dish of greens and fish that was fantastic, juices etc, basically anything we'd like started off our days. From our second floor good-sized balcony we could see the large and immaculately manicured lawn, stately trees, hanging vines, flowers, beautiful swimming pool and view of the Caribbean, about a 10 minute ride to reach. The grounds are a tropical paradise and my only regret is that we didn't spend more time hiking around the property. Trails lead to clearings in what is a real slice of paradise. And the beaches below have the clear aqua green water that you usually see in a magazine like Conde Nast Traveler. Couldn't recommend this place enough. It probably sleeps 8 or more tho I'm not sure. We slept in a large comfortable canopied bed with mosquito netting. We opened the doors to the balcony and a nice cool breeze made sleeping really easy. At night we heard all kinds of exotic bird sounds as well as an early rooster or two. I've never seen so many different plants, ferns and palms at such a large scale before. If you love gardens this is one you must see and explore. It's world class! The house and grounds are as clean and well maintained as can be. Just down the road is Gee Jam, a bar/restaurant /recording studio, where the views are almost as outrageous as at Norse Hill. We got to tour the studio where Beyonce has recorded, among others. If we ever come back to Jamaica we'd invite some friends along to fill up the house and we'd make sure to tour the grounds more.

“Beautiful” Fairy Hill is absolutely enchanting only a stones throw away from the lovely San San beach. If you have no desire to leave the house you can relax by the pool and be treated like a king/queen by the staff
