“Breathtaking Luxury” I just returned from 6 nights in Playa Hermosa with my husband and kids (21, 17, 15, 12) after spending several days in the arenal rainforest. Everything about Mar-a-Villa and Costa Rica Star Villas was spectacular! The villa is great for families and/or couples groups. Everyone who works for Star Villas is professional, friendly and accommodating. Adriana, Marisol, Blair, Jeffrey, Sandy, Soledad and Robyn were all great to work with; from booking to maintaining the residence, driving to concierge services & meal prep. The villa is large and luxurious. 5 large bedrooms with large bathrooms and balconies to enjoy the beautiful view. Somehow, it also feels like home. The view is amazing! When you walk through the front door, you feel like you have stepped into your own personal paradise! Marble floors, high ceilings with wooden inlays, huge terrace and infinity pool. The sports bar area was great with the pool table and the big screen TV while listening to our ipods piped throughout the house. It's better than a 5 star hotel! The local beach is big enough with a restaurant, (small hotel and bar down the beach) and amenities like chairs, bathrooms and jet ski and banana boat, sunset cruise rentals are also readily available there. Surfing in Tamarindo twice, full day fishing trip, manicures and chef prepared meals at the villa. (all booked through Costa Rica Star Villas). The kids rented jet skis and we soaked in the warm waters off the beach. You could be as busy or as relaxed as you wanted. Our drivers were wonderful and Blair took us to Father Rooster's a great restaurant about 15 minutes from the villa with great drinks, atmosphere and food. There is shopping in Coco about 10 minutes away and a small supermarket at the bottom of the hill from the villa. We even had pizza delivered one night! The whole experience was wonderful and I would highly recommend Costa Rica Star Villas and most definitely Mar-a-Villa. We are hoping to return soon.

“Great place to relax” I stayed here for 10 days and couldn't have been happier with my experience. Everything was as advertised (always a worry when you books something like this). The place was enough out of the way where it was quiet and peaceful but close enough to walk anywhere you needed to go. Store-10 min walk, Beach-60 sec. The restaurants in the area were also very good. Be sure to go to Ginger. It was about a 30-45min drive from the airport. easy to navigate though. 55 dollars if by cab. The only thing i can say negative was the internet wifi wasn't working at the time of my stay. Had to use a hard line. It probably worked out better because it allowed me to relax and not check mail and do work. Other than that a great place and well worth it. If you are looking for a place, look no further. Plenty of room and has anything you might want.
