Beautiful Villa - Beuatiful Views!

Had a fantastic stay at Villa Vaso. Two adults and two children aged 6 & 8. The kids loved the pool and garden. The Villa is in a lovely peaceful location with amazing views to the sea and only a short drive to any of the nice beaches in the area east of Platanias and Agia marina (we didn't particularly like Platanias). You definitely need a car which isn't a problem as plenty of hire options. Anastasios and Vaso are lovely friendly hosts who are on hand and willing to help out when needed! The Villa is really clean and well maintained like a home from home - books on hand, free wifi all the essential mod cons if required. Our favourite beaches closeby were The two sheltered cove beaches of Agii Apostili. Falasarna and Efalonisi are definitely worth a visit if you have time about 40 mins and 1.25Hr drive away respectively also Stavros is a lovely sheltered beach perfect for kids (45 mins away). We are a family of 6 and stayed in villa 3 and have just come back from a lovely hol. Perfectly located villa and fabulously looked after by the happy/friendly Barbara who services the villas every day and is there for anything you ask for including where to find the wildlife of Crete. The location is right by the beach and perfect for early morning swims but a critism would be that it is lacking a shower area to wash off excess sand before heading back to the villa. The private pool/ sun lounges and outside area is ideal for relaxing and Barbara keeps you topped up with beach towels. Eddie's beach bar nearby is the best for the daytime refreshments and chat. This is the second time we have stayed here and we feel that the villa is ready for some TLC (tender loving care). … see more

Peaceful and tranquil

Our stay at Maria's villa was fabulous. The villa had everything we needed plus more. It was well decorated and modern with great facilities and the most comfortable bed and bedding. Ideally located Villa!!!very helpful host!!

Beautiful ,comfortable and tranquil Villa with a nice garden and views.The Villa looks even better than in the photos...There are everything you may need during your staying. And if you need anything extra, Manolis is always there to help you. It was amazing that when we wεre there, many swallows made their nests on the front door of the Villa and at the veranda!! At the same time in less than 100m away there is a very nice tavern, Kolimbari is very close also and by using the motorway you can also go to Chania , Falassarna Elafonissi, etc easily.I cannot forget to mention that a very extended welcome pack was provided at arrival followed later in the week by several sweets and fruits. Moreover, Manolis the owner, gave us many useful tips, which we couldn't find in any of the guides we had. West Crete is really beautiful, and this Villa is in a very good location to explore this region. So i definitely recommend this Villa for staying. Great villa, very well equipped

We stayed at this village between 10 October and 24 October. The villa itself is lovely, very homely and has absolutely everything you need to self cater - including two very friendly homeless cats (who don't come inside the house). The nearest taverna is literally a stone's throw away but unfortunately, presumably because it only had outside seating, it had closed for the winter. However, the new taverna in the centre of the village was great, very friendly owners and excellent, very inexpensive food. We enjoyed an incredibly relaxing stay in Spilia and it's well placed for some beautiful beaches. If you like walking I would recommend getting a proper guide and map - we didn't and I wish we'd got organised to do this as the scenery is lovely. Spillia is ideal for a laid-back holiday, with no nightlife, just peace and quiet and great views, with plenty of places to visit. Highly recommended. … see more

Great villa holiday

We have just returned from a week at this beautiful villa. We all agree it’s one of the best we’ve ever stayed in. The pool area is wonderful and is where we spent most of our time. The heated pool is a bonus!!! The rest of the villa is comfortably furnished and the kitchen is well equipped. It’s great to arrive at a villa rental and to have been left some basics such as dishwasher tablets, toiletries etc. These little touches make all the difference. The booking process is very easy and Peter sent lots of information prior to our arrival on the local area. It was lovely to be met at the villa to be shown around. The village has two tavernas that we can recommend which serve amazing Greek food with fantastic Greek hospitality. I highly recommend villa Georgia and hope to return one day! … see more
