“Exquisite” We have had a perfect holiday - redolent of beauty, substance - a delight from start to finish. Roula and her husband have created a haven which is as marvelous inside as out. Situated in an olive grove and with a garden featuring fresh limes, lemons, fruits, vegetables, as well as roses, hibiscus and jasmine, we often had to pinch ourselves to realize it was real. Indeed the garden, the pool, the views, the sea, the house itself created a backdrop of enchantment. The house itself is a joy. Immaculate, perfectly furnished - and with great good taste - stocked with anything anyone could possibly desire - what a joy. None of us wanted to leave. As for Roula and her family, their hospitality was extraordinary. Really beyond words. They were available to answer our questions, give us guidance and direction but only as we needed. Their hospitality defined the concept. Their graciousness, too. Roula's daughter, Joanna, met us at the airport and guided us brilliantly through the car rental process and then gave us a fascinating tour of the village of Kolymbari. We were smitten from the moment we landed with a sense of gladness and well-being. Not one bit surprising given our guides. Our thanks for a splendid holiday. We will be back! In the mean time, we carry with us a present memory of wonder and appreciation. I must add we loved the village of Kolymbari. Wonderful places to eat - esp. Argentina, which we went to several times - a fascinating and beautiful monastery, a lovely little beach; and it was within easy distance of all sorts of wonderful places to visit. I can't think of a village in this part of Crete where we would rather have been living. “Fantastic villa excellent quality and very friendly owners” Villa Georgia certainly lived up to the photos online...in fact it exceeded them. Our first impressions of the exterior were that of a clean, well maintained, well thought out modern property, this continued inside. Parking was easy, the gardens are beautiful, the rooms are very good sizes, amenities are great, and everywhere was immaculately clean. The kitchen was of a high standard and the outside barbecue area was excellent with a fridge and sink. The owners Peter and Georgia met us at the Villa and showed us round, explaining how everything worked, asking if we wanted to visit anywhere in particular and providing directions and a map. Peter has created a great guide to the villa and surrounding area which was very useful. They are a lovely couple who provided a genuine welcome with a starter pack for the kitchen and homemade wine, raki and olive oil! Totally unexpected and very generous. We stayed with our 14 month old and two lads in their late 20s...there is ample room for everybody to have their own space and it worked really well. The villa and gardens are child friendly (obviously there are stairs and tiled surfaces etc but with supervision we had no problems at all.) Peter provided a drop sided cot, beautiful baby bedding and a high chair at no extra charge...he even bought us a paddling pool for the baby to use in the garden. The maid service was pre arranged so you didn't wake up to find somebody knocking on the door, we thought this was very good and less intrusive than other places we have stayed. The communications before and during our stay were excellent. We had a very relaxing holiday and would recommend it to others visiting beautiful Crete. Thank you Peter and Georgia.
