“A very well equipped apartment in a very nice town” Although Appartement François is located in a very old building it has been developed so that it has all mod cons such as washing machine / dish washer etc. The decor is also tastefully done and it lacks nothing in kitchen utensils which many apartments often do. It has a lovely balcony with gas BBQ, and an awning which is very handy if you want to sit out at lunch time in the heat of the day. It does have air conditioning in the main living area which works well although there were only fans in the bedroom. This would not normally be a problem although it was exceptionally warm when we stayed (approaching 40 degrees) and therefore quite warm at night time. Usually I don't think this would be an issue however. Pezenas is a lovely old town and it's worth spending a day there without venturing any further. There is no shortage of places to eat or shops to browse and it is steeped in history. We ventured down to several of the beaches on the coast within about 15 miles of the apartment and very easy to get to. It was also nice to travel inland to other places well worth seeing. Saint Guillhem le Desert was well worth a visit, plus we enjoyed picnic-ing around and swimming in Lake Salagou. Because of the very good road network consisting of TOLL FREE motorways it is very easy to travel around by car. There is also a bus station in Pezenas if you wanted to use public transport. All in all, a highly recommended place to stay.
