“Great for Families” The apartment (condo) was as shown in the photos and we were greeted by a Family Member (Irene) to show us through of where things were. Irene very kindly also pre-stocked the fridge with a few essentials which was really helpful as we arrived after a very late flight. The location, we found to be fantastic. We got Rapid Penang Bus Passes (RM30 for a week of unlimited travel) and the bus stop was a few minutes walk down the hill from the Apartment. Being slightly away from "the strip" of Batu Ferringhi suited us perfectly. It was really quiet and since the Apartment was fully equipped, made it a very relaxing oasis away from the crowds/noise of the Strip. The pool is huge, although the permanent residents don't seem keen on the holidayers and there were some interesting pool "rules" such as No Splashing, no pool toys, no "bulky" floats etc. There is a Childrens Pool and another small pool with a Slide for the Children. The slide is quite fast (which my 10year old son loved) but a bit rough and although he used a blow-up pool ring to sit on as he went down to cushion his butt, he was told by the Security Guards at the pool that this was disallowed. Pool floats are also disallowed, even though you may well be the only person in the pool. Go figure. But the price for the Apartment was excellent and so the down-side of the Pool issues need to be put into perspective. There was a small pool at the bottom of C Block (This apartment is in C Block) but it didn't get sun all day so the water was a bit cooler. That said, there were no guards at this pool so you may be able to sneak a float and enjoy lazing there. We were busy checking out the Island and coming back to the Apartment was fantastic. A lovely little oasis. The beds were all lovely and the bed linens and towels of a good quality. The washer, iron, etc were all new and in good working order which made things very simple. The free wifi was also really appreciated. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone thinking of heading to Penang, particularly if you have family. Would definitely recommend this apartment as it had everything we wanted and was first class.

We stayed in the apartment for 7 days and it was fantastic .We were very pleased on our arrival.to Penang The owner had organised transfers from the airport to the apartment which was fantastic. The apartment was spacious, spotless with qood quality furnishings, comfortable beds and a wonderful shower. Everything worked well eg air con, fans washing machine etc and the views from the balcony were brilliant. There were fruit,coffee and biscuits awaiting us which we thought was very welcoming. Beautiful Place Excellent Value

We stayed here for 10 days with two small children 2yrs & 4yrs from the UK. The agent Harris was very pleasant & extremely helpful when we had a couple of things needing attention. Trevor also kept great communication with us who was out of the country-thank you. The apartment is stunning, large & well equipped with everything you need for a fabulous holiday even had a high chair & travel cot. The pool is beautiful which is also on the same level. Security is brilliant key cards to get into lifts, doors etc. Great restaurants & shops downstairs highly recommend the fish & chips place, Italian & Papa Rich places shame we didn't try everywhere else. A Home Away from Home

5 stars for the apartment itself, but it becomes 4 stars because the overall amenities (out of the apartment owner's control) aren't that great - decent, but not five-star. It's important to clarify at the outset that we are talking about a private owner's apartment at Sri Sayang. This private owner does not own all the apartments, nor does she manage the entire resort. So some things are not within her control, eg the swimming pool, the physical layout of the apartment like where the bathroom is etc. The apartment we had was booked directly with the owner and not with the resort. We had the apartment on the 16th floor. It had a splendid view of the sea. We enjoyed sitting out at the balcony for breakfast, enjoying the breeze. The living room has airconditioning but we didn't turn it on at all! It was always nice and cooling there. The apartment is fully furnished with quality appliances. Induction cooker, oven, refrigerator with freezer, washing machine (and detergent too!), tumble dryer, kettle, clothes drying rack, pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups, glasses, spoons, forks, knives, dustban, broom, vacuum cleaner, mop, pail, floor detergent, water filter, bath towels etc etc. There's also handwash liquid soap at all the handwashing basins! Very thoughtful. The master bedroom is ensuite with a three-piece bathroom (shower, basin, toilet). The other bedroom has a two-piece bathroom (basin and shower), no toilet. There's a toilet with basin (common lavatory) in the living room, just across that bedroom. The resort charges for parking, but its not an unreasonable amount. We had a lot in the private parking space, with a remote control to raise the barrier. It's a covered car park. The swimming pool is decent, not great. It was very crowded when we were there, the baby pool is more like a big bathtub, so it was something of a squeeze. The regular pool ranges from 0.9 to 1.5m. Alritey, the challenging part about this pool is that the resort requires guests to use the service lift after swimming. Now, one has to walk along the side of the building and past a workshop area to get to this service lift. there were people working along this route and we had to be careful not to step on their wires and equipment, not very easy while carrying a small child and towels. This is rather inconvenient. But this has nothing to do with the owner of the apartment we stayed in. Just be mindful of this if you are using the pool, be careful. Just outside the resort is a local foodstall. The eats are great here, and affordable. It's difficult to eat here with our restless toddler but it was so convenient to do a takeaway and enjoy it in the apartment's breezy balconey. We had nasi lemak (rice cooked with coconut milk and accompanied by condiments and sambal), local doughnuts, and some kueh. There'a a cafe in the resort next to the pool, but we didn't try. There's also a convenience store there. We don't have plans to visit Penang again, but if we do, we would consider this accommodation again. … see more
