“Big house in a good location.” The conservator is great for entertaining and partying day or night. Top floor shower is not for tall people but others are good. Breakage fees are a bit steep so advise you replace glasses yourself, £3 a glass,especially as broken due to Belfast sink not being very forgiving.

“Amazing and relaxing!” We had a great stay at The Dutch Barn. It was easy to find and has lots of mod cons. We also arrived to a lovely welcome basket and flowers which was a great touch. The hot tub was amazing and very clean (as well as being cleaned during the weekend). The lounge is bigger than it looks in the photos and there was plenty of room for the 7 adults staying. I would definitely recommend staying here! Thank you very much

“Perfect location for our bi-annual get together.” The cottage was ideal for our party of 6 adults and 2 children, with room to spare. The children loved the small play area, especially the trampoline. The kitchen was well stocked with enough room to store all of the equipment and food that we'd brought and because you couldn't leave cars outside the door (there was a designated parking area very close by), there was a large open area just outside. Linda greeted us on arrival and made sure that we were comfortable, even though she'd done the same for our son who had arrived slightly earlier than the rest of the party. Both she and the cottage were really warm and welcoming.

“The staffordshire moorlands hidden gem.” Theres not alot to say other than "out of this world" Lynn and Nigels attention to detail shows from the minute you arrive, from the lovely meal on arrival to the luxury towels, the great bedding....and wait im forgetting something, oh thats right the HOT TUB! even down to the little things like dishwasher tablets, coffee, tea, milk, red sauce, its all provided at no extra cost. these little touches really make the barn a home from home (or better as our 2 kids keep telling us) We arrived for our christmas in the barn, to a home cooked meal (chilli) which was stunning! presents for us and the kids, a lovely christmas tree, fresh cooked loaf, theres just to much to list about this place, the best thing to do is just book to experience it for yourselfs. If you want to be in a pure peace and quiet, not to far from lovely towns and attractions and enjoy walking, then book the barn! I really havent a bad word to say. “Centre of town and spacious too” We travelled as a group of friends in early macrh 2013. The sat navs found it a bit tricky to locate but it was worth it. The cottage is in a really handy location with an easy stroll into the town. The cottage is well equipped with lots of rooms to get lost in. The main living room upstairs is very bright and airy, great for friends to sit and chat, drink or nibble before making your way down to dinner. We found maggie the owner very easy to speak to by mail and very responsive when we had queries etc. Bakewell as a town is very touristy with lots of food shops to get your taste buds flowing and the river in the middle is a joy. We would happily go back again
