“Hen do - Amazing” The house is amazing!
We went there on a hen do and the house was great.
Large kitchen with everyhing you need.
Hot tub = perfect!
Could not want for anything else!!!!
“Cosy, restful and peaceful” Study Barn Farm is a lovely converted barn in the centre of Bonsall Village. It is nicely decorated, very well equipped and easily accommodates 12 people. All in all a lovely cosy place with a lovely atmosphere, the big windows and open aspect made it very airy. The heating was fab which added to the cosiness. All the bedrooms were nice even though only one has an en-suite and the other 2 bathroom are shared.
Practically there is not much work space in the kitchen but we weren't really that bothered as its manageable. It's well stocked with equipment and gadgets.
Booking the barn was really easy and Jayne the owner was very responsive and informative.
Just a few little niggles, the radiator in the main bedroom is really noisy. the downstairs shower by the front entrance couldn't be regulated so the mixer needs checking, and the lounge TV could do with being bigger.
So nothing to complain about at all and would recommend to anyone as I'm sure the owners will take those on board.
The Fountain tea-room across the way, lovely breakfast reasonably priced, nice modern and welcoming.
The Kings head pub, great atmosphere, fab food, fun environment, with live music on Saturday nights and Sunday is quiz night (bit hard for us numpties) The landlady is lovely.
The Barlow Mow, a really quirky pub full of character well worth a visit.
Both pubs a 5 minute walk.
Nice walks into Matlock Bath where there is plenty to do and see.
We rented for an army reunion and will definitely think about going there again.
“Perfect getaway for large groups” I booked the barn for 14 friends and family. The barn is beautiful and isolated without being too far away from civilisation. The owner is very friendly and helpful.
We are already talking about a return visit. No phones, TV or Wi-Fi is frankly appealing. Great way to catch up with old and new friends.
“Lovely, Homely and Amazing scenery” There was 10 adults staying at this barn and there was loads of room. The house was clean and everything you could need was there. The owner came to welcome us and was lovely and extremely helpful. The location is amazing with lovely scenery and nice and peaceful. The hot tub was also fabulous. We all had a fantastic time. Would happily go back again.
“Lovely house with lots of character, fully equipped, right in the centre of Buxton” We loved the central location in Buxton and the access to the Peak district, the local shops and Pavilion Gardens which were just round the corner. We went to Chatsworth House and walked round the reservoir at Macclesfield Forest which were both excellent days out. The directions to the house were good, the house very nicely furnished with loads of character. We would love to go again.
