“Wonderful week at Loch Portain House” Very comfortable house with views to die for, had great weather apart from one day, fantastic wildlife, a stag in garden (a Royal, had 12 points) and 6/7 hinds, golden eagle, sea eagle all seen from house, TV never on, we sat at the picture window mornings then evenings after days walking for miles on the glorious beaches. Boys were kitesurfing, canoeing and a day stalking. The house was very well equipped and we had the peat fire on a few nights which was lovely with a wee dram and a North Uist Downpour Gin. The lovely housekeeper was on hand if we needed anything and let us stay an hour later on departure day as we were getting the later ferry. Had takeaway and sit in at Berneray Bistro which was delicious, meal at Lochmaddy Hotel which was also great, a visit to the seafood shop and cafe at Kallin, Grimsay is also worth a visit. We will be back, thank you x

“Comfy Cottage in a Stunning Location” The cottage is very warm and comfortable and equipped with everything you could need. The master bedroom is particularly attractive and the bed is extremely comfortable. We enjoyed eating our breakfast while looking out over the loch. We tried to get our dog to go out in the rowing boat with us but she refused!

“Bucket List destination ticked.” Cannot rate Eranca Cottage highly enough. We received a lovely welcome to this wonderful cottage from Angus. On entering the the cottage, the table was set for afternoon tea with lots of home baking. The cottage is fabulous, very comfortable, with great views and in a brilliant central location for touring Lewis and Harris. Both Angus and Agnes are lovely hosts and live next door if any help is required. Would have no hesitation in booking again if we were to visit the Island.

“5 Aird Uig Self Catering” A great place on the Western side of Lewis. Comfortable with a small cove a short walk from the front of the house. Fully self contained. Friendly neighbours. Close to some great beaches and some great walks. Fresh scallops close by. Overall an excellent place for a getaway from the hustle and bustle. We had great weather for most of our stay. “Best location on Harris!” Perfect, secluded location at the waters edge but only ten minutes from the ferry terminal. So quiet, Bob the seal visited at least once daily, welcomed by deer in the garden on arrival day then frequently throughout the weeks stay. Rock pools on the doorstep, children spent hours just exploring the rocks and making great memories.It was hard to drag them away to explore the rest of the island but we all fell in love with the amazing beaches.Endless sands and practically empty Luskentyre and Scarista were favourites a short drive from the cottage. The cottage itself a perfect balance of tasteful decoration and many homely touches (the welcome wine very much appreciated!) As two families sharing the main house and end house we had more than ample space for all.We were all sad to leave and can’t wait to return to Harris!

“A delightful base from which to explore Lewis & Harris” Bellevue is a lovely, comfortable property from which to explore the Isle. Christine welcomed us on arrival to show us around (really useful) and was available to contact on her mobile should we have needed anything. The lovely hamper of goodies was a charming touch and much appreciated!! The place is so well equipped - you can tell a lot of thought has been put into things for their guests. The bed was INCREDIBLY comfortable and we slept so well throughout our stay. Being a stone's throw from amenities in Stornoway (Ferry port, Tesco Superstore, shops and restaurants) made our stay very easy. Thoroughly recommended Bellevue for your visit to Lewis and Harris!

“Another magical stay” This is the second time we have stayed at Cliscro and the cottage did not disappoint. Eleanor, the owner, believes in attention to detail so she has equipped this cottage to a very high standard. It is very private and extremely comfortable. The garden is dog friendly so our dogs enjoyed basking in the Hebridian sunshine in safety. However, the location is remote and private so there is little to worry about with your dogs! The Outer Hebrides offer breathtaking scenery, friendly welcomes beyond compare and beaches that just lift the human soul. We intend returning to Cliscro for a third visit next year- can't wait! Eleanor welcomes you with the gifts of cake and wine so your holiday begins with perfection. This cottage is an absolute diamond and is superbly placed for exploring both Harris and Lewis.

“A Little Slice of Heaven” This is a beautiful holiday home with stunning views in a perfect location. We were made to feel so welcome by the owner and the property felt very homey and relaxing. I would love to recommend this holiday rental to everyone I know but I'm also a little selfish and a part of me would love to keep this heavenly hideaway a secret. If you are thinking of renting this my advice would be go for it, I promise that you will not regret it!!!
