Sad to receive this review - as the listing clearly states that we are in a small village location, as does the map, so cannot understand the opening comment of this review. Maybe, these guests felt they had been misled and this appears to have influenced, or at least coloured, the overall rating given. The listing, however, is accurate.
As for the 'garden rubbish' it is true that the moss stripped from the lawn was mulched on the vegetable and flower borders as had tree chippings. Whilst we can accept that at the end of March there is still plenty of work to be done, we do feel 'garden rubbish' is a poor description for what many gardeners might regard as normal early spring preparation. If we've missed a beer bottle thrown into a bush - we are sorry - but it is a very rare event indeed.
Milfield, by the way, has a pub which does good food, a cafe which does great food all day and a village store.
