“Family Trip” A beautiful,spacious house in an amazing setting, close to main road, golf course and other amenities. The owner, Yvonne, was extremely helpful and always answered our queries quickly. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

“Comfortable and well equipped” Had a very enjoyable stay, slept well, and like many before us loved watching birds from the dining table. The kitchen was very well equipped. We felt a little as though we were staying in a friends house. Good garden and nice private decking area for sitting out. We were lucky with the weather which always helps! Good to be close to all village amenities, especially just nipping over the road for a paper, pint of milk etc from the Co-op.

“You Don't Need A Car!” Having the train literally on our doorstep really made this holiday. The Signalbox is on the platform of Newtonmore station. We arrived by train and left for home on the Caledonian Sleeper. We used the train to visit Inverness and Aviemore, for skiing at Cairngorm and walking in the Glenmore Forest. The cottage, with the living room and kitchen upstairs gave us lovely views towards the Cairngorms. It also made us into noseyparkers: we couldn't resist looking to see who got on and off the trains that stopped at the station! The cottage was very well appointed even having a sauna cubicle downstairs. We loved the log burner and the limitless supply of wood to keep it going. There was a marked walking trail around Newtonmore, about 6 miles, that is well worth doing. The village has a decent Co-op and the local garage has a shop too. There are a couple of pubs in the village and at least one hotel open to non-residents. One disappointment was that the restaurant recommended by many in the Visitors Book was closed for the two weeks at the end of January as was the most interesting looking shop in the village.

“cutest cottage but with a modern twist, cosy romantic its just perfect” wanted cosy cottage with log fire and hot tub and boy did we get what we were looking for and more.it was lovely and warm, food supplies incase you get snowed in, just need to replace, great idea Matthew, and the little things like biscuits and tea coffee sugar all added to it,plenty extra bedding if needed which we did not, even electric blankets. went for quiet weekend and enjoyed so much.great selection of dvds for in the evening cosied up on the couch with the fire roaring, lovely walks from the cottage and just minutes drives away takes you to so many sites, loch laggan looked amazing, surprised at how much of it was actually frozen,i could go on and on but if you are looking for something very quiet and a bit special than this is it, anyway enough said i need to go and book for my next break away in april at PIPERS COTTAGE
