Lappa Valley Steam Railway is a miniature railway outing with three distinct lines that run through a leisure park of protected woodlands in the Lappa Valley. The woodland railway is a circular trip that takes you through a tunnel, past a maze, a nature pond and back to the main East Wheal Rose train station.
Things to do include riding the rails or taking a paddle boat around the boating lake. Play a round of crazy golf or let the kids loose in the childrens play area with its colourful wooden trains. You can then walk the brick path maze, which is based on the mechanical elements of a locomotive. Then how about find your way to the centre of the flywheel and ringing the bell? Or maybe browse the gift shop for Thomas the Tank Engine merchandise or stroll along one of the many walks through the valley. Do keep your eyes open for the woodpeckers, buzzards, ravens and mallards who live in the valley.
