“Sensational !!!” We had a wonderful stay at Waters Edge. The house and grounds were in immaculate condition. The owners readily made themselves available to answer any questions we had and ensure that our stay was perfect. The house is situated so that there is a stunning view across the ocean. The furniture and decor is comfortable and appropriate for the location. The ocean is easily accessible through your own private gate on the patio (under the palm trees and next to the pool). The patio is perfect for drinks and entertaining and we spent many mornings there watching the sunrise over the ocean while we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast. Nassau is just 20 minutes away and Paradise Island, with its casinos, aquarium and water park is even closer. The fishing locally is superb as are the beaches. Cabbage beach, which is just up the road is so beautiful it takes your breath away. I would unreservedly recommend this property if you're looking for a private, Bahamian retreat on the ocean, close to fabulous dining and all that Nassau has to offer.

“Great Vacation Home in Bahamas” My family of 5 (myself, husband, 3 sons (ages 16,14,14) vacationed at this great villa. It was so nice to not be crammed in a hotel, and this view and locale is very nice and relaxing. We had WiFi access which is nice for working parents and teenagers (even though that's not why you go to the Bahamas!). The pool was also a nicety, so the days we weren't running around accommodated all of us. We were also able to prepare some meals (even bbq) and drinks (for the adults!) to save some on eating out. Cathy helped us navigate agendas, parking, and overall trip! This was a perfect setup for us! Thanks Cathy!

“Quiet Island Retreat” We stayed at the Hibiscus during the month of January while we were in town for the marathon weekend. The cottage was quiet and comfortable, which was just what we needed. I particularly liked the way it had been decorated, with dark wood accents, fresh tropical flowers and long white curtains. Everything we needed was inside the cottage, including a coffee maker, microwave, a small fridge and dishes. The wireless internet access worked well, and the television was hooked up to cable. Whenever we needed clean dishes, we left the dirty ones outside and they were cleaned and returned to us within a couple of hours. We didn't get a chance to use the pool as much as we would have liked, but we did lounge by the pool and read while enjoying the sunlight and the tropical landscaping. The owner, Inae, and her husband, Daron, were very friendly and hospitable, and they gave us the kind of attention that we most likely would not have gotten at a hotel. If we had questions about anything, they were happy to help. On our last night, they prepared a wonderful dinner of traditional Bahamian dishes. I'd recommend the Hibiscus for anyone who wants to stay someplace quiet and lovely and away from crowds of tourists. However, you will need a rental car as the property is located in a residential neighborhood and a car is needed to get anywhere. I can't say enough good things about the cottage and the hospitality, and I would happily stay there again.
