Excelent for young children

Me and my cousin stayed for a week in this wonderfully located apartment with our children - 3 boys age 3, 7, 10. All we needed ( beach, supermarket, fruit&veggies shops and pizza restaurant) was within 5-10 min walk from the flat! The owner was really helpful to guide us around as we wanted to see a bit of Riviera as well. Bus stop for both local and airport buses is within 10 min walk from apartment too! The place itself was clean, spacious, had plenty of extra clean towels and bedding. Loved to seat with my coffee in the morning and wine in the evening at that small table with the view - just like on advertisement picture ! :))) … see more

Peaceful and beautiful homelike stay

We had the wonderful week in La Pastorale with the children who enjoyed the garden, the view, the apartment so much that they said good bye to friendly Ludivine with tears in their eyes. This is perfect place for a small family or a couple or two friends with children as in our case or even for a single traveller, who wants to have a peaceful, beautiful, homelike place to stay not far from all the activities in Menton and even further away. We got the most friendly and helpful welcoming from the family living in La Pastorale and Ludivine is the compassionate spirit of the place. Large 4-room apartment 115 m² in villa for 8 pers. Menton Côte d'Azur
Magnifique!

We have just returned from a wonderful stay in Raymond and Cathy's beautiful gite in Menton. The gite is a single unit down a slight slope below their own home with a magnificent view over the mountains and the sea. Our hosts greeted us upon arrival and gave us an extensive tour of the gite which is very spacious and comfortably sleeps 6 (3 bedrooms) plus a sofa bed or two to accommodate more. It is decorated and furnished to a very high standard and the kitchen better equipped than my own at home! Loads of comfy chairs and sofas to fling yourself onto and also garden furniture and barbecue outside. Every little thing has been thought of such as an umbrella in case it rains and a shopping trolley if you fancy walking down the hill to the supermarket, otherwise it is a short drive. I recommend a car there. Raymond and Cathy and their little dog Kiara were perfect hosts and on hand for any problems. Just knock on their door! It is about 5 minute or so by car to the sea. Lots of restaurants along the promenade and you should also visit the Old Town to shop and eat. It is quaint. I also highly recommend a visit up the mountain to St Agnes and the wonderful restaurant there. Being on the Italian border, Menton is close to everywhere - you can be in Italy in 20 minutes. We visited San Remo and much of the Cote d'Azur. The old village of Nice and Monaco are really worth a visit but everywhere along the Coast is accessible from Menton and we did some nice day trips to Eze, Antibes and further. There is multi-channel TV but the English-speaking channels limited so it's best to bring along your iPad or Laptop for Amazon, Netflix, and the terrestrial channels (if you have a VPN like I do). It is a really chill place and very relaxing and highly recommend. … see more

Have stayed in this lovely apartment on several occasions. The owner is very helpful and friendly, and the apartment is well looked after by a pleasant man named Kamal. There are wonderful views of the Med which is just across the road, and I took binoculars to look at the ships and boats from the balcony. Lovely to wake up to the sounds of the sea. … see more
