“A FABULOUS PLACE TO STAY” I was travelling from India along with my husband and daughter. I loved the property as soon as i saw it on Flipkey (tripadvisor). Had to have it, but I couldn't seem to be able to pay through bank transfer to book it. Some technological glitch. Saw the property slipping away. But the owner Roy Hardowar was an angel. He reserved the property for me without any booking amount as an exception. Hats off to his hospitality. When we reached the property it was the exact replica of what I had seen on the internet and in impeccable condition. Very well maintained with a clean swimming pool. The kitchen was equipped with a gas stove, a microwave, refrigerator, oven and all the utensils. The 3 bedrooms were just perfect, fully air conditioned. We were welcomed with all the essentials including fresh fruits, cooking oil, and you name it. The bathrooms too are very well structures with a washing machine, easy to operate. There is a couple who comes to clean the outdoors very alternate day. Roy's hospitality didn't end there, he arranged for a car rental for 3 days delivered to us at our door step and that too at a reasonable cost. The actual check out time is 12 pm but Roy allowed us to stay up till 6 pm as our flight was in the night, and at no extra cost. Difficult to find people like Roy in today's world. Even the people staying around the villa were very helpful, helping us with directions. Had a blissful 7 days stay at the Blue Lotus Villas, Flic en Flac. Anytime I plan to visit Mauritius again, will definitely opt to stay here only.

Great location and value for money

We stayed for two weeks in this apartment complex and throughly enjoyed both the apartment and location. The apartment had plenty of space - two double rooms, with generous wardrobes and most importantly air con! The smaller room has great wardrobe space too. The kitchen is well equipped and the diner/lounge is great for entertaining. The apartment has a swimming pool which is great for cooling off during the hot days! We were really pleased that it had parking as we hired a car and made good use of the parking space! The apartment was very well located to Flic-en-Flac beach and town which made it really easy to go out in the evening and walk back. We spent most days on the sandy white beaches and really enjoyed the local street food. Have stayed in the North of Mauritius before I'd definitely recommend Flic-en-Flac as a better destination as the night life is more lively - there are lots of bars, restaurants and nightclubs to enjoy. I'd recommend Casela Nature Park which has some great outdoor activities - we did the zip wire (would really recommend this, it was truly amazing!) and the safari park on quad bikes which was a brilliant way to see animals and the mountains. Overall great accommodation, well priced with fab amenities and brilliant location - we'd definitely go back and stay there again. Would recommend both as a holiday destination! … see more

The property is ideally situated in Barachois, Tamarin, with the rear garden on the banks of the Black River and a view of the beach (2 minutes walk) at the front. Spacious house, with 2 bedrooms upstairs and one with en-suite downstairs, able to cater for 6 people. There is 24 hour security service in a gated community and a daily maid sevice, except Sundays. We had a refreshing swim almost daily in the Sea after a tiring day sightseeing or trecking. Couldn't have hoped for more, excellent value!!

We travelled to Mauritius to visit family (one half of us is English and the other Mauritian) and always stay in Flic en Flac as it'spretty central. Twins is definitely one of the best we have stayed in - absolutely spotless, conveniently situated (close enough to walk to the beach but far enough away not to be bothered by revellers). The apartment was light and spacious and appears to have been recently fitted out (or very well maintained) everything looked new! The beds are huge and very comfortable and (essentially) the air con works really well! Coffee, tea and other essentials were there for us on arrival. Thanks to Clive who provided a typically Mauritian warm welcome! The pool is small but was perfect for cooling off in (particularly a hit with our 11 year old daughter) and we seemed to be the only ones using it. Beautiful stay @ peaceful Sunset Villa Mauritius

Stayed at SVM in Jan 2014 and had a fantastic time. Everything was perfect! Spacious rooms, modern kitchen & bathroom (with washing machine) and great little sun terrace area. Nice private entrance into a hallway which although was hot, all the rooms had very good aircon. The bed we slept in was nice and firm and everything looked new. Their are adjoining rooms with a cute balcony. I was really impressed with the quality of the furniture, doors etc and the sound proofing was very good - almost too good! They provided mosquito nets in all rooms. One room has an ensuite and there is also a really nice dining/lounge area. Your about a 20 minute walk from the beach but I would recommend hiring a car just so you can explore all the beautiful beaches in Flic-en-flac and beyond. The owners were amazing! Really helpful, knowledgeable and spoke perfect english (they're Londoners!) And they organised our catamaran, boat and fishing trips for my partner & I. Being locals they knew everywhere worth visiting on the Island which was great. And the view of the Sunset....WOW!! I would definitely recommend to my friends/family and am already planning to go back - the stay was a perfect blend of peace & tranquility whilst being nearby all the hubbub. All went to plan.

The apartment is all you see on the website and more. The airport transfers went off without a hitch. The owners Jimmy and Dominique just so accommodating. We arrived in the evening and Dominique had stocked the fridge with all we needed short term. She greeted us at the apartment.
