“true home away from home - and quite possibly, a real upgrade! :” Thank you Juda and Maryann for renting Home on the Hill to us this ski season. We had a delightful 3 month stay (Jan-March 2014) - the house is everything as described and more. We will so miss the huge couch in front of the big bay window overlooking the mountains! The house is modern and well equipped, with a fabulous main floor perfect for cooking and entertaining - while sending the kids to a table tennis tournament downstairs. The master bedroom suite has a nice bathroom with full shower and jacuzzi and a good size walk-in closet, and then there is another bedroom with a queen bed on the same floor. Downstairs has additional two guest bedrooms with trundle twins in one and a queen in other, if you have more than 8 people staying, there's also an additional pull-out couch. Central heating with two zones keeps the whole house uniform and easily adjustable. The house is easy to get to, 13 minutes from downtown Margaretville and the roads are well maintained (though plan to have a 4WD in the winter, as in most of the area). 25minutes to Belleayre, 10 to Plattekill. tons of parking on the property, and the potential for the best luge track as well as a great sledding hill right there in front yard. Best yet though, the owners are just the nicest people you can hope for, lovely and responsive with excellent communication skills. who happen to own the best house ever! :)
