“Great Girl's Get Away” Bar Harbor, Maine is a couple of miles from Acadia National Park. The house with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was ideal for 6 ladies. A cozy living room for playing games. The large kitchen accommodated 6 people making breakfast at the same time. The view of the ocean from the third floor balconey was assume. For 7 years, we have done girl's get away vacations and declared this was the best place yet! Hope to go back again!

“Close to Nirvana” It would be difficult to find a better spot for spending a vacation than the Quietside of Mt. Desert, and the Gray Barn experience is part of the fun. The accomodations are modern and in great shape, and the windows both have a great view over upper Bass Harbor and give great air circulation. Access to cellphone and internet coverage is a convenience. The kitchen is very functional, though you'll want to visit the lobster pounds and restaurants in the area. A perfect base for hiking in acadia National Park. The week we were there was perfect for using the owner's kayaks in the upper harbor and the estuary beyond. We've stayed three different years and will be happy to return.

“Spent time right after a snow storm, very warm relaxing and cozy” This is a wonderful home. It has all the amenities you could need. Very clean and well kept. The owners are very down to earth and accommdating. We would highly recommend this home for winter or summer!

“Little Cottage at Sunset Cottage in acadia” We had a wonderful time in little cottage. My husband and I loved the water views of the cottage set on a large quiet lawn area. We had sunset drinks every night overlooking the water, it was bliss. Everyday we found lots of different activites to do in the acadia national park. Cycling the carriage ways, hiking the many trails all with fantastic views. We also enjoyed the abundance of lobster, hence had many lobster meals. I couldn't recommend the location or the cottage highly enough and would certainly go back.

“Fantastic home for an amazing vacation” Just got back from an amazing vacation. The Cabin allowed us a home away from home while visiting acadia and MDI. First, the location is terrific: About 5-10 minutes by car to the supermarket and Echo Lake (great for a dip to cool off), a short walk into town for dinner or coffee, 15-20 minutes to the main areas in acadia. Mike and Dee left three days worth of suggestions of activities which were perfect and a stress free way to start the week--the best were Rich's Lobster Pound in Bass Harbor and the Ship Harbor Trail (great place to picnic!). I would add sunrise on Cadillac Mountain--breath taking. Second, the house is incredibly well stocked. Everything from Lobster pots to paper towels and laundry soap. It differentiated this house from any other rental. Well worth getting Lobsters from Rich's and boiling them up and eating on the deck. Every meal we ate outside, a really nice outdoor space and the hammock was a huge hit after outdoor activities! Honestly, it was our best vacation ever and the cabin was a huge part of that. It feels very remote and secluded although in a great quiet town. Can't wait to plan our next trip to acadia and Mendelson Cabin. P.S. Fidler's Green is a restaurant not to be missed.

“Location, location, location plus the coziness of home” To sit outside and watch the tides roll in and out with lobster nets bobbing on the water's surface is nothing short of perfect. Add a modest, but wonderful "great room" with a picture window and fireplace, comfortable beds, and what you have is this lovely cottage. In addition, it is really convenient for exploration, including a 10 minute drive to the lovely Castine which has everything from great sunsets to terrific lobster rolls.
