“Lovely apartment in Luz” The apartment, complex and area of Praia da Luz is really lovely. This was our 2nd year here and still cannot fault anything.
Apartment and complex are of a very high standard. Lovely restuarants a couple of minutes walk away and a lovely beach not too far either.
Just might make it 3 in a row for next year ;-)
“Off the beaten track” My return to the algarve after 25 years, a lot had changed but the rough wildness still remains. It was the charm that I took with me from my last visit and although Lagos had changed from a small remote fishing village to a holiday resort, the rough and wild still hold on for me. The algarve still had what seemed an endless supply of fabulous beaches, ruins and wilds. The view from our huge 2 bedroom two bath priceless. Every wish we asked granted and the refrigerator packed with European staples, the fresh bread my kids devoured and was delivered to our door great touch. Stay wild for my return
“Fantastic apartment!” We stayed here for 2 weeks in Aug. The pictures do not do the place justice, the apartment is very spacious and has everything a family could need (washing machine, British tv for the children). Having looked around the area these aparments could possibly be the best; this is because they are very nice and there are not too many for the pool area. Some developments have hundreds of units for one pool &they seemed a little crowded. We stayed peak season and it was never crowded but there were other families to talk to if you so chose. The pool is nice with a baby pool for little ones. Luz is a lovely town for families. The beach is not big so we did catch the bus to Lagos a few days so we could run along the beach there (not everyone enjoys this on holiday). Make sure if you are on the bus you get a travel card from the parish building, one card can be used for the whole family and halves the cost. If you want to see further than Lagos and Luz you may like to rent a car but we did not. The walk to the beach is a few minutes (the apartment has a sea view) but inclined on the way back. We were fine with a buggy but elderly parents may not find it enjoyable. The supermarkets in Luz are very expensive but Lagos is very close by bus or taxi and I would recommend you stocked up there.
We would definitely return.
“Wonderful” Myself, my husband and our two adult sons have just returned from a great break and birthday celebrations and we could not have selected a better location - the Apartment was simply amazing from every vaspect. We could sit in the sun up to 3.30pm then either stroll to the beach or sit by the pool for another few hours. Before heading out for the evening we could then sit out on the smaller terrace at the other side of Apartment to catch the last of the sunshine.
We would have dinner in various Restaurants and each and everyone great. We would then return to Hugo's Bar on this wonderful Complex and spend LONG hours enjoying games of Pool and Darts and of course a couple of drinks.
Each morning my husband and sons would kick start their day in the Gym with a workout, swim and sauna.
We have stayed a few times in Estrela but this time the Apartment we had made all the difference - between the space, our ensuite bedroom it was luxury. Highly recommend, believe us, if u choose this Apartment you will not be dissapointed.
